It was a good value for the money spent, AND it wasn't a great hotel. When we told locals where our hotel was located, they said it was a bad area. It didn't look bad to us and we had no problems, so we're not sure where that was coming from. It is an old, unconventional building with a very slow 4-story elevator. The room was fine -- nothing special but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was basic chain hotel food. We would stay there again but only because it was cheap for what we got compared to a lot of LA hotels.

The room was clean including the floor. Also, some hotel rooms have some type of unpleasant odor, this one did not. I didn't have much interaction with the staff since our stay was less than 14 hours. We were catching an early morning flight at LAX.

Older hotel, but still nice. Major draw back is 4 level hotel with only 1 elevator. Staff and guest have to used the same elevator which can be time consuming. Staff are very nice and helpful.
