I almost gave it 3 stars

Originally, I was going to give a star for cleanliness, a star for more or less being what it propports to be, and a third because I know I booked a budget hotel. There was nothing to earn anything above average (3 stars). However, after trying to check out this morning, this review comes down to a 2-star review. We couldn't get out!! Our room was on the 2nd floor. There are only 2 elevators and one wasn't working. Every time it stopped on our floor, the elevator was already full and we couldn't fit. We tried the only 2 stairwells, but they were emergency exits only, so we couldn't exit the stairwell without triggering the alarm, which could have incurred a hefty fine. It took us almost HALF AN HOUR to get from the 2nd floor to the lobby, and even then we were so packed into the elevator, that we had to keep pushing ourselves together before the door would close. There were about 8 people still waiting for the elevator on our floor by the time we finally squeezed into one. It was so frustrating and for no reason. Just make your stairs usable! Thank goodness we didn't have to catch a flight or anything!

The shower made an ugly noise when the hot water was on for more than 3 mins. The ice machine was not working. Parking should be included.

The stay was for 2 nights. . Our check in was late and the lady behind the counter had to be high. I had to repeat everything I was asked and she moved slow as molasses. The room smelled like someone sprayed deodorizer to cover cigarette smoke. The floor was sticky in our room which was an unpleasant surprise. There were no cups in the room for the sink. I'd assume due to the water conserving faucet, it was impossible to rinse my mouth out after brushing my teeth. Lastly, if you are over 5'2", you'll really have to bend down to rinse off. The shower head is insanely low. Aside from that, it was a bed to sleep in.
