Resort was amazing and staff was very friendly. We loved our stay and wanted to extend. Shout out to Andres (who serves by the pool/beach), Sergio(who serves at the night shows), and Carlos (who serves at the italian restaurant at night). Also, room service was great. House keeping was always on top of it. The front desk, bellboys and outside crew were very nice. I know there are many mixed reviews, but I truly believe if you treat the employees right and tip, you will have a very special stay. Enjoy!

Food was amazing. Nice staff. Air conditioning was out during our stay. Luckily it wasn’t overly Hot. One day no water in the shower. My wife had to shave her legs in the bathroom sink. They couldn’t ever give us an answer on when stuff would be repaired. Just said working on it. No compensation for the inconvenience.

When I booked this hotel package, it said, we get free spa and free tour. But to get free spa, I had to pay US $35 for tax and tip which is not free.. For free tour, front desk advised me to go talk to someone working at tour centre but a person working at tour centre said she doesnt know anything about that. My room even didnt have hot water so we were moved to the other room. But then new room was actually downgraded cuz it was older and smaller. I was so tired to complain about this at late night when I checked new room, so I just stayed. But if I go Lod Cabos again, I would like to go somewhere else. We went there with our five year old daughter but there were no hot tub available for our daughter and all pools were too cold for her.

I was unsure about this property based on some of the negative reviews but after a week long stay, I will say we had nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! Our experience was 10/10. The facilities were impeccably clean and I saw staff wiping down surfaces and sweeping many times a day. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job and the turn down service was a nice touch. The highlights of Villa del Palmar would certainly be the delicious food and amazing staff. We loved the buffets and ala carte restaurants. There were plenty of options to choose from and we never got sick of the food. The service in the restaurants and around the pool was amazing. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. I’d like to thank all the staff but a special mention to the ones I can remember: Carlos, Uzeil, Julio, Miseal and the wonderful Nayeli who took care of us all week by the pool. I’d also like to acknowledge the amazing entertainment staff. There were lots of fun activities by the pool and they had little crafts and games for our kids who were too young for the kids club. The shows at night were also amazing - many of them are professional dancers and it showed. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at this all inclusive resort and would highly recommend it to others. The only slight issue we had was with the air conditioning but it was cool enough in the evenings that it didn’t really matter. Thanks again for the excellent service.

Enjoyed a week at Villa del Palmar. The food was excellent, especially the steak at Tomatillo! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice location with access to beach and pools. The main restaurant was very busy, especially at breakfast, wait to give your name, wait for table, then wait again at serving stations for your food. It would really help to have another restaurant open in the morning. Also there was often a shortage of black tea for some reason. Bring your own, if you want earl grey!

Staff was not friendly at all. Had two different encounters where wait staff had told me they would only accept cash tips, even though there was a spot to do this on your receipt and pay at the end. They were very rude about it. At the farm to table restraint I sat for 30 mins without being attended to. Had the worst glass of wine I have ever had. It tasted like it had been sitting open for a week. I tried to buy a bottle of wine, then after 20 mins of waiting I was made aware they didn’t have it. I talked to the manager of that place and then she turned the situation on me and said I was the problem. The breakfast buffet is very unorganized and hard to figure out. As well as unfriendly wait staff as well. I go to Mexico every year and I will never come back here and never recommend it to anyone. Really loved the staff who were always eager to please….our poolside server Nayeli was fabulous with the kids, servers Carlos and Julio were great, and the activities staff were a constant source of entertainment with a special thank you to Chloe. Rooms were always well maintained by excellent cleaning staff. The groundskeepers put so much effort into keeping the place clean and sanitary. Thank you to the spa staff Lizbeth, Lursa(spelling)?, Reina, and Anglo for the wonderful treat of a massage and time at the spa. Food quality was excellent and the night shows were also so much appreciated. Only area for improvement is the check in staff need to look at ways to streamline for a more efficient timely check in process. Thanks for a great stay!!

Typical trying to sell you vacation club stuff that all the places do in Mexico. The bar food and lunch options were good. Dinner options were ok but not great. Staff was friendly and helpful. The vendors are a little annoying at the beach area but they are trying to make a living so it is what it is. The property is nice but getting a little dated. Villa Darco next door has much nicer pool and more dinner options. Overall good experience and good people there.

Good location, well maintained property. Food was very good, bars also very good but everything shuts down by 10:30... we're not big partyers but that's early for most people. Pool and beach service was great, much better than the bar simply because they ran a tab rather than waiting in line at the understaffed bar and filling out paperwork for every drink. Finding coffee in the morning is like prospecting for gold and lines can get long for meals. Because of having to sign for everything and the fact that with 450 rooms the pool seating and bar/restaurant facilities and staff are inadequate we wouldn't go back. It's a big time share resort so many people don't go the all-inclusive route but there has to be a better solution than filling out paperwork for everything when you are all-inclusive.

My wife and I stayed here two years ago and it was so delightful. So much so we came back a second time with our kids. There was construction going on at the stage area for night time shows during the day. Food was great but you could tell the were understaffed come dinner time. Any restaurant outside of the dinner and show took two hours from time to being seated to getting our check. Overall 4 stars would recommend

The Villa del Palmar is a great resort. We enjoyed the food, ambiance, rooms and service. Our rooms and the resort were very clean and well maintained. We did have to ask to get our in room snacks and drinks to be replenished as they didn’t for the first three days there. The food whether room service or out was always fabulous! The views and ocean were magical! Would come again
