This is a great spot to stay. Great view of the bridge and sunset. It seems recently renovated. Little touches still needed but otherwise great spot. Clean room and bathroom. We enjoyed it a lot.

Nice property but room, pool, and breakfast were all in separate buildings. The non-swimming beach area is nice for a campfire which they permitted with a great view of the Mackinac Bridge.

Payment Issues

Be aware that this hotel will charge you the morning of your expected arrival, even if you have elected to pay at the property. This caused some issues for us because we planned to use a different card to pay at the property and were then out double the money for approximately 36 hours while we waited for our bank to reimburse us. I’ve never had a hotel do that before!

Had a great time at Clearwater in spite of the weather. Our shower was a little funky but nothing horrible. Water just sprays out of the push button that switches it from tub to shower.

Just Terrible

This place was awful! The room smelled musty and moldy and the bathroom smelled like sewer gases. The toilet lid would not stay up so I had to physically hold it up to use it. The beds were hard and the pillows harder.

Very clean hotel in a quiet location. Close to the shopping district and the freeway/exits. While the room was small, the bed was comfortable, we felt safe, and having the fire pit lit every night for us was very nice. It was just my son and I, but we would stay here again.

Property had a great view of the Mackinac Bridge from our balcony. Room was clean and recently remodeled. Balcony was nice and had great views. Staff was courteous and friendly. Close to all the things in Mackinaw. Only disappointment was there was no loveseat or comfy chairs in the room to sit in. We did have a small dining table with 2 chairs, but would've been nice to have a relaxing place to sit besides on the bed. This wasn't a big deal though as we spent most of our time on the balcony. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at the property again.
