El Hotel Francisco I superó todas mis expectativas: la ubicación es perfecta, a pocos pasos de la Puerta del Sol y la Plaza Mayor, lo que nos permitió recorrer la ciudad caminando. Las habitaciones son modernas, muy limpias y con camas comodas que garantizan un descanso excelente. El personal es encantador, siempre atentos y dispuestos a ayudar con una sonrisa. When I arrived to the hotel and checked in I was told we were upgrading but when we went to our rooms we were actually downgraded. I had booked 2 balcony rooms and got 2 prison windows. When I addressed it I was told that since we arrived an hour after check in there was nothing they can do and said we will have better rooms the next day. The following day we were ignored, but the hotel told Expedia that they offered us better rooms and we rejected it. What a lie. rStaff are extremely rude and truly ruined our trip and the city experience

When we booked this hotel there were limited reviews, so we were a bit nervous. We picked the hotel largely because of the location and price. Because of the limited reviews, we were a bit skeptical. But OMG.. We were blown away. Our room on the 6th floor had a terrace with a retractable awning overlooking the beautiful city. And a ceiling fan in the room for the hot summer days. Breakfast was perfect, service was amazing and the location couldn't have been better. I'm not sure why this hotel ever received a bad rap. It was the best out of all the hotels we stayed during our 16 day Euro trip. We'll definitely stay there again and recommend it for couples traveling through Madrid.
