Had such an amazing time at the beautiful peaceful location just 5-10min walk from Maui bay beach.
Property: I came as a little solo retreat to take a break from NZ winters. The unit was exceptionally clean, fully stocked and I appreciate being able to cook myself- although there are a few restaurants and grocery store within 10min walk. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved the fact I could get away from bright lights at night and the blackout blinds. The wifi was perfect for calls/work, and never had a glitch. The property was quiet and beautifully landscaped with abundant fruit trees and veggie gardens, and I was even treated to fresh papaya and banana's and offered garden veggies!
I loved going down for swims at sunrise/sunset and was often the only person at the pier. The beach is swimmable all day, although at low tide it's recommended to swim off the end of the pier. The local's are incredibly friendly, most speak English and as a solo female travelled I never once felt at all unsafe.
HOSTS! This was the absolutely best part of the stay. Dee and Ken and their family were incredibly welcoming, helpful and made me feel at home the minute I arrived. Anything I needed Ken helped organise and was always only a text away. Nacho (the dog) was a fantastic tour guide and would accompany me to the beach guarding me all day until I was ready to walk home. Thank you so much. Cant wait to return!
