We stayed for one night, room was clean. Big turn down its when you have your room on the 5th Floor and the elevator is out of service and you will think you’ll see anyone working on the problem but no even until the time you check out no one was working on the elevator.

South beach has become a very popular and busy destination. When we visited hotel 5 years ago it offered more for the price we pay now however, i was disappointed to find no safe box in the room, limited space as rooms i believe became smaller, also it used to offer breakfast with the stay which it does not anymore. It does seem to be overpriced for what you get but I have observed that this hotel is not the only one like that. Hence the experience of the hotel was average.

Elevator out with no warning

The elevator was out and they didn't warn anyone. I saw a disabled vet yelling at the desk about it. I had to carry 160 lbs of bags 5 floors several times.

I always try to find the good in any property so here it is, Location. However you can clearly see that all the pride of ownership is GONE! Staff does try so hard but how can they save a sinking business such as this. All sorts of mandatory hidden fees such as housekeeping fee and property maintenace of $20 something a night,,, when I questioned it at 1:30 am when I arrrived I was told unless you pay you dont check in.SERIOUS! Property entrance red carpet filthy, main carpet in entrance dingy filty, seats to sit on ...WOULDN'T DARE ! The main area hotel lobby atrocious...NO PRIDE!! whatsover!! Shame... this property could be great with just a little investent , some muscle and cleaning. There is no reason why lack of cleanliness at any property should be tolerable !1 If you dont care about your health or whwre you lay then become a patron of this hotel!!BEWARE ...BEWARE ...BEWARE!! If people keep going and not caring this palce wont change!!

Well, as we waited in the lobby we decided to have a couple of margaritas. Not a Cadillac one, just a margarita. We got the bill for 2 (TWO) and it was $60. I almost fainted. Then they allowed us to check in early and they had held our luggage for us. The guy went to get this and we said we would carry our own luggage up to our room but thank you. Then he proceeded to tell us the elevator was broken. We were on the 4th floor and the very last room on the hall. The bathroom commode was broken, we had to remove the lid to flush it. There was mold all in the shower. Other than those few things, it was a very neat place to stay. Convenient to the beach and plenty of restaurants. Just wish they took a little more pride in the cleanliness when you are in something that old.

I was not impressed with the sanitary conditions within the hotel. I was also locked out of my room prior to checkout time and I had to go downstairs three times to finally have staff come up with me and open the door. Overall the location was desirable, but change in management or owner has depreciated service expectations.

I would not stay here again. Elevator was not working, front desk staff not very welcoming. Very old and smelly. Beds were not comfortable! Hallways were super dirty.

If you're looking for an affordable Hotel on Ocean Drive, this is the place. The hotel is just okay. Requires major updates, the elevator is out of service and you may have to walkup 5 flights up. The rooms are out of date and there are no dresser drawers.

Hotel is in a great location. They have beach chairs and towels readily available at no extra cost. Right across from the beach. Only complaint is the elevator is broken and walking up 4 flights of stairs was not that fun, especially in heels. Other than that my stay was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would come back again!
