I recently stayed at Candlewood Suites in Miami Lakes and unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The property was undergoing construction work in the parking lot, which meant I had to park on the opposite side of the hotel and walk quite a bit to get to my room. While I understand renovations happen, there was no clear communication about this inconvenience prior to arrival. Once inside the room, I noticed a persistent musty odor, and upon closer inspection there appeared to be signs of mold in certain areas. This was a major concern for cleanliness and overall comfort. Additionally, walking through the hallway, there was a very strong smell of marijuana on the floor, which created an unpleasant and unprofessional atmosphere. I hope management addresses these issues soon, as the location is convenient and the hotel has potential. But as of now, I would not recommend this property until improvements are made to both cleanliness and overall guest experience.

This hotel is not what the pictures show.I stayed here for 3days because my house was being remodeled and they never came to clean the room.When I first walked in it smelled wet and like smoke.The A/c doesn't work that well but it was bearable.Its just all around out dated and that carpet in the halls and rooms needs to pulled up..I even saw a Roach in the bathroom.
