I'm from Miami and I never stayed over night on South Beach in a hotel. So I really didn't have a clue about any hotels. I made reservation for Cleveland hotel where my friend made reservation. What is 5 star is the staff. They are very warm and welcoming and willing to assist in anyway. The area is great (better than ocean drive crowds). Collins Ave bars and restaurants are so much better (my opinion). So the location is great. The hotel itself was clean and updated with a convenient tiki bar and restaurant. These are all the great points. The "average" points are the size of the bathroom (very small) and bed was at best average (a little hard). There is NO table in King room. You get a vanity like table but the stool they give you doesn't match the height. Toilet is literally up against the shower and its a walk in shower with a curtain only so when you shower the entire floor gets wet, etc. The AC is a small unit on ceiling that even lowering at 61 at best felt like 73 or 74. I mean don't get me wrong, was somewhat comfortable but was looking for ice cold. That's about it. Overall great location, staff was nice.
