Vi Vadi was a good location to train station and old town of Munich. Room heating worked well, but could not turn down over the first night. Lesson: keep bathroom door closed! Staff friendly, room good size for Europe and breakfast was great.

Cleanliness and rare kindness

Clean, welcoming, and in a great location. Already upon entering the corridor to the rooms, you can notice a pleasant scent of cleanliness. Professional staff, spacious room, and a very comfortable bed. When I return to Munich, I already know where I’ll book.

The property/room was modern, nice and clean. We booked this property because it had a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and stove top. Plates, cups, and silverware for 2 people were provided too. If you wanted anything else like dish towel, bowls or cookware you had to pay $5.00 more per day. Why not includes this fee into the price of the room? Also, the building didn't have air conditioning and since it was pretty warm outside during our stay, the little table fan that was provided didn't really help to cool down the room which made it a little hard to sleep at night. Other than that I would highly recommend the hotel, the location was great!

No AC. Super hot in summer like cooking. The hallway itself so hot like over or as if you walk under the roof. Fans won’t help cooling at all. I’m from a hot country but this is unbelievable

Crappy hotel, yucky bathroom, no ac. The only thing worse than this hotel would be sleeping outside. The bathroom was the real crapper - it only had shower but shower pan was a 2’ x 2’ x 2’ high tub? Where did they find that piece of crap?

I stayed 10 days and truely loved the hotel. Staff were nice and helpful. Room was big enough for me. Bathroom was comfortable and water pressure in the shower was outstanding! Room has kitchenette, electric kettle, mini fridge and microwave. Laundry machines for hire in basement. Short walk to Central Train station. Many grocery and restaurant options in area. On Sundays when everything is closed, many things are open in the station.

We booked for 2+1 days. On the first day when we walked into our room, we found two people already in the room sleeping there. They said that it was a mistake so they gave us new rooms and said that as it was their mistake they would let us keep the new rooms until we checked out. On the second day they told us we had to change to our original rooms, so we had to spend more than an hour packing up all our belongings and moving. On the third day from 6:15pm we could hear drilling sounds from upstairs and we told reception. However the noise continued. We went again and went with the reception to find the room that had the drilling noises and asked them to stop. However this was a private room not owned by the hotel so they kept drilling. The hotel also has cooking available but you have to rent cookingware. The tall young man at the reception was very helpful and nice.

Not quite good enough

The carpet in the corridor was filthy, kettle broken in the room, no cups with the kettle or T&C, hotel feels quite grubby and not looked after. However the bed was comfortable and a great location. Was a last minute booking so you get what you get last minute. Did feedback to reception about kettle who were friendly enough, but they suggested supermarket to get tea and coffee.

Great hotel just around the block from the central train station in Munich. Room was amazing (wooden floor, on top floor — had a skylight). Staff friendly and helpful.
