Good policy re cleaning of room - ask for it not to be cleaned in return for free drink. This should be supplemented by a bin for recycling on each floor. Basin water had tiny black particles in it - a warning not to drink it would be a good idea. Otherwise a very pleasant stay. Historic centre is only minutes away and the Hbf too.

Conveniently located just minutes from the Munich Central Station. Relatively quiet and well maintained. They posted a special offer for a free beer if I didn't need housekeeping for the day. I was happy to pass on the room cleaning and fresh towels every day and opted for every other. Will look at this hotel again for next year's visit.

Payment taken twice for the room

We have been charged twice for this stay. Payment made to hotel.com when booked, then had to make a second payment to complete online registration. I don’t think this is fair. This makes it a very expensive hotel .

Superb, good value hotel

Superb, good value hotel perfectly situated between the Hauptbahnhof and Karlsplatz. Although we had a room facing the street, we could hardly hear the trams.

Room was a bit dated and the shower was in the room which was strange. Toilet was in a cupboard so also unusual but room was clean and ok for 2 nights. Close to train station and main shops, 5min walk both directions.

The lights in the room didn’t work. The plug sparked when I tried to plug in my Phone charger. The beds are squeaky from any movement. But the room was simple and clean and allowed me to sleep.

Awesome place to stay

A couple of friends & I stayed at Hotel Stachus for a week while we went to the Christkindl Markets in Munich. The hotel was so convenient to everything from the markets, trains, & tourist attractions. The room was very clean & beds were very comfortable. Next time I’m in Munich, this will be my go-to place to stay. Highly recommend this place.

December Christmas markets

Weather was what I expected. A little colder would have been nice maybe a little snow. Hotel was a short walk to the Christmas markets. Hotel was clean warm and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again
