Our most expensive stay while in 5 accommodations, 2 weeks across Nadi, Vanua Levu, Coral Coast and Denarau. Close to port if doing a day trip but otherwise Denarau has no beaches, no snorkel from shore. Not sure how it became popular. All is ‘pay more, receive less’. Accommodation was standard room. It was ok and staff were friendly and welcoming. Milk for tea only provided on day of check in. Room cleaning offered at 4pm after we just got back to room for a rest after exploring - a bit late after our ‘please make up my room’ sign had been out all day but I realise they need to prioritise rooms that have new guests arriving. No Netflix (which we also found in our coral coast accommodation) but quieter Vanua Levu had it. We were able to use our phone to get our own Aussie Netflix but only to phone. Wifi was intermittent in our room - which was our only poor wifi accommodation in the 2 weeks. Yes, it’s got a small pool. Note: Wotif pictures when click on ‘Standard room’ include pictures of a kitchen which had us fooled. They pertain to apartments.

Second stay at this location. asked for a quiet room and it was. Fortunate to receive an upgrade so a better room than booked. Friendly reception and staff. Nice breakfast. Walk across the road to catch the Yasawa flyer

The staff tried to send my driver (whom I had organised independently from the hotel to take my family to the airport) away. I had told the staff member that we were going to the airport and we were waiting there with our bags. The driver turned up to collect us but the guy tried to send him away. The staff have some kind of side deal / commission arrangement with their own drivers. I know this because the driver told me about it after he persisted and found us and took us to the airport. It also explains why the airport transfer rate they offer $100, is twice what you can get with great companies like Uniquely Fiji ($50). Upon reflection I now suspect the staff member tried to distract us from the driver at the time he arrived by concocting some story about how we had left some item of clothing by the pool. Be wary of these issues if you stay here. Otherwise the location adjacent to the port was perfect, the pool was great, the room was spacious and clean enough, the food at the cafe was brilliant.

The two bedroom is very spacious and have large bathroom and ensuite as well as a bath tub in the ensuite. It also has a kitchen so will cut dining out cost. It is bigger than a single room with two queen beds which we booked for the first part of the trip. Don’t expect a big swimming pool but sufficient to cool off. It is next to the marina so options to dine there too. I would stay there again and use it as a base due to the size of the room for a family of 4 and facility in the room and visit the surrounding hotels if you want buffet etc.

Rooms are clean and are a good size. Wifi was intermittent. The TV feed never worked - TV was always pixelated. The majority of the ground floor rooms do not have any private outdoor seating areas from the rooms. The main area to relax is small. There's the cafe (great service), 6 sun loungers and the small pool all grouped together. A little cramped, but if staying for a couple of nights it is fine. Overall, a pleasant visit and convenient for the marina to head out to the islands.

The staff were friendly and accomodating. They allowed us to keep our bags at reception after checkout, as we had a late flight. The cafe had great options and service was fantastic. Don. one of the outside staff, was super helpful carrying my bag up to the gym area and waiting with us until our taxi arrived. Having a washer, dryer in the room.was so great. My only recommendation would be to advise that milk is additional cost on check in so you can have the option to buy before you get to your room.

The Palms Denarau was clean, modern and convenient. The Cafe attached had a good variety of drinks and food ( the food just took quite awhile to arrive).The only thing i can fault is the spit system xooling had a mimd of its own and there were no extra.blankets anywhere. Across the road are many restaurants but VERY expensive- be prepared to pay $40-$50 for a pasta dish . Good variety of clothing and souvenir shops also and a small supermarket. The marina is also super close and perfect for an overnight stay before heading to the islands as we did. I would definitely stay at the Palms again!

We stayed at the Palms for 4 nights. On our first night the aircon was leaking quite badly on to the bed so we had to sleep with it turned off. We also only had 2 towels provided in the room for the 4 of us staying here. I mentioned this to housekeeping the next morning and they were very helpful and prompt in resolving these issues. Everything else went smoothly and we really enjoyed our stay here. The cafe made beautiful fresh juices which were a hit with our family. The location was also perfect for visiting the Big Bula water park (The Palms/Terraces are on the Bula Bus route) and for our day trip with South Seas Sailing. Would recommend this accommodation to others.
