Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!
You will have full access to:
• Entire 5BR/3.5BA home

★ Check-in was seamless and the house was even better than the photos!
Mid-City puts you right in the current of New Orleans - close enough to feel the city's pulse, far enough to come home to something calm. From this five-bedroom home, the Superdome rises on the skyline, the Canal Streetcar is a short walk away, and the Endymion parade route runs just steps from your door.
Living space
Natural light moves through the open living area, where a 32-inch HDTV with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, and Roku keeps evenings easy. Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace with a door make it just as practical for anyone who needs to stay connected between outings. Board games and life-size games round out the entertainment for groups of all ages.
Sleeping arrangements
Five bedrooms sleep up to ten guests, each made up with fresh bed linens and plush bedding. Three and a half bathrooms - finished with a bathtub, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and stocked essentials - mean mornings run smoothly even with a full house. Room-darkening shades, a walk-in closet, closet, dresser, hangers, and a safe add day-to-day comfort throughout your stay.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is set up for real cooking - a Frigidaire stainless steel gas stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster, baking sheet, wine glasses, cooking basics, and a full set of dishes and silverware are all here. Pull up a seat at the dining table for shared meals, or take your morning coffee out to the balcony and watch the city wake up.
Outdoor living
Step out to a private balcony with city skyline and Superdome views, or head down to the fully fenced backyard, where a covered patio and outdoor furniture give you a comfortable spot to unwind. A private entrance adds a layer of ease when coming and going.
Laundry & essentials
An in-unit washer and dryer, iron, cleaning products, and all the everyday essentials - towels, bed sheets, soap, toilet paper - are provided. Babysitter recommendations, a pack 'n play/travel crib (available upon request, sheets provided), and a folding or convertible high chair with food tray (available upon request) make this a practical choice for families traveling with little ones.
Location
The Canal Streetcar stop is walkable - about ten minutes by tram to the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and Frenchmen Street. Trader Joe's and the Lafitte Greenway bike trail are close by, and the Endymion parade route runs right outside. Major hospitals and the Superdome are just minutes away.
Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.
