Disappointing. Prior to arriving, the hotel offered an upgrade, which we agreed to and the hotel confirmed. When we arrived we were brought to a lower-grade room. We called the desk and explained the issue and they said they were putting us on hold but they hung up, then when we called back they put us on hold again and hung up after a few minutes, then on our third call just kept us on hold for several minutes. So we went to the front desk and explained our confusion. The person at the front desk responded with annoyance, until they checked their notes and saw the upgrade. They then told us that the upgrade room had an issue and they couldn’t move us. So we returned to the room, which backed up against the Vietnamese cafe next door. Starting before 6 am the staff started moving boxes and shoveling ice outside our window, so we couldn’t sleep. Our friend in the room next store was disturbed by the same activity. Neither they nor we can recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all the food options on the property. Everything was clean and tidy. Room service was quick. We wish the pool bar had been open during the week we visited. My only comment about the room was the lack of surfaces to place toiletries, etc. Made it hard to keep things tidy throughout our 5-night stay.

All of the above. We were looking for a New Orleans type experience and we got it there. The room was fantastic full of beautiful furniture and a great closet. Staff was fantastic especially Cindy in the restaurant.

The hotel is a beautiful old building with tall ceilings and big windows. The room was well appointed and roomy with a comfy bed and all the bath amenities. The bars downstairs were great and all the staff was wonderful. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood, walking distance to so many shops and bars and restaurants. I highly recommend!

The hotel is cool, good decor, neat vibe. The front desk staff is not great or helpful at all. The woman who checked me in knew very little about the property which…okay. But the next morning at 6:30am there was a constant banging. The guy Eric at the front desk was less than helpful and so rude. He made me feel like I was making it up. It went on for an hour so I got very little sleep and no following up or anything just an attitude. So that was a bummer! But other than them getting more professional and courteous front desk staff it’s a sweet spot.

The property itself was nice, and the staff was wonderful and accommodating. The problem really was how small and poorly designed the rooms are. They are tiny and painted so dark with very little natural OR artificial lighting. Mirrors are poorly placed so you can't see yourself full-length. Plus there's one big mirror across from the ONLY natural light source in the room which reflects the sun directly into your face in the morning. (can't be covered with curtains because it's above the door to the outside) It was not a luxurious room. There's also no door on the shower and no ventilation in the bathroom so you end up fogging up the whole bathroom and it seeps into the bedroom. There's no ice machine on any of the floors. We were never provided hand soap in our bathroom. Storage space is non-existent. Pros- friendly staff and clean, and in a lovely neighborhood. But if you're looking for luxury, this is not it.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Peaceful, quiet, sophisticated, luxurious boutique with perfectly lovely staff. The restaurant and porch dining area are out of this world. The food is spectacular, creative and delicious-so much so that it was the best food we had in New Orleans. The street car to the French Quarter is a couple of blocks away, and the architecture of the Garden District is stunning. It is safe to walk about the neighborhood and there are sweet boutiques a few blocks walk away. The pool area is stunning, as well. This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've been ALL OVER the world. STAY HERE! You won't be disappointed.

This is an excellent choice in New Orleans, especially if you have reason to be in the Garden District. The building and grounds are stunning, and lots of nooks to relax around the property, including the pool and courtyard. Also, there are a variety of eating and drinking options, all good. One note is that unless you like to walk (we did), or take cars, it’s not particularly convenient to the French Quarter. So, if your visit includes being in that area much of your stay, you may want to consider another option.
