Hidden gem.

I always stay at Maison Dupuy. I love the location. The only thing wrong was with the tv. However that wasn’t there fault. Streaming service was the issue.

The front desk, young lady was not friendly at all. I did not feel welcome. Her superior was really nice. And on top of that, the second elevator got stuck on us over 15min. I was scared. We almost had to cancel our swamp tour.

To begin with, I got a good deal, so didn't complain about the little things. Things like, chipped enamel tub, toilet constantly running ,stains on the walls under the a/c vent, key card having to be reset every 2 days, ice machines on floors 2 & 3 broken, only 1 very slow, loud elevator in service, paper thin walls and very noisy housekeeping in the morning. I can overlook all of that, because it was clean, I felt secure and the balcony overlooking the courtyard was lovely. I will not be returning to this hotel due to the fact that even though I paid in full, in advance, I was REQUIRED to give a debit or credit card that they charged for $55 per day for the entire stay, to be returned/refunded 5-10 buisness days after checkout for a credit card and 30 days later for a debit card. That is dirty business. So, the hotel gets to collect the interest from your deposit during your stay, and you possibly get charged interest on that charge that they will be reversing. I have never had this experience and don't intend to again.

If you’re looking for a place with all the bells and whistles this is not it. But the rooms were decent and it was in a location that made pretty much everything walking distance. There is a pool located in the courtyard……The rooms were clean and comfortable just a basic room, nothing extravagant. I loved the old school feel to the hotel, that was my preference.

Hotel is in a great area and the pool is nice with the warmer weather. My friends and I had 4 rooms all with courtyard balcony view, 1 of us got an remodeled room, which we weren't aware of, the new room was great. The other three rooms were not remodeled and the floors had carpet, problem with the room was that when it rains the rain comes through the door and the carpet gets very wet and then starts to smell. Not a great experience. 1 of the rooms also shared a balcony with another room so did not feel as safe/private. Overall location is good if you want to be near bourbon street but property for the rate you pay needs work. Elevator is also very old and on 1 of the days was not working, luckily the building is only 4 storeys high so it is easy and faster to take the stares.

Went on a mother-daughter weekend trip and the hotel was fabulous! The location in the French Quarter was perfect walking distance to everything we did. The restaurant in the hotel was great and priced well. They also offered a swing lesson before music one of the nights and live music the other nights. Had a great time!
