The Neighborhood: Nestled between the French Quarter and the Bywater lies the Marigny, where you'll find colorful shotgun homes and the sounds of jazz music filling the air. With plenty of all-star restaurants and bustling nightlife, the Marigny attracts crowds young and old with a charming, welcoming feel.
While situated in the Marigny, this home is located on the front porch of the French city’s historic heart, famous for its vibrant nightlife and colorful buildings with cast-iron balconies. Crowd-pleasing Bourbon Street features jazz clubs, Cajun eateries, and raucous bars serving potent cocktails. Quieter streets lead to the French Market, with gourmet food and local crafts, and to Jackson Square where street performers entertain in front of soaring St. Louis Cathedral.
Getting Around: This room is located in the historic core of New Orleans. Having a car is not necessary for your trip. Many restaurants, music venues, attractions and shops are with walking distance, or a short pedi-cab or ride-share away.
There is some limited first-come, first serve street parking in the blocks near the property and paid lots a few blocks away.
Other Things to Note: Owner has a well-behaved dog, "Lucky", that lives with them on the back of the property. Guests do not share any common spaces with the dog and the dog does not go into any of the guest rooms.
