The rooms are dirty and small. There was mold on all the doors and in the bathroom, half the staff is rude- their communication between eachother is severly lacking. We paid almost $60 for a late checkout just to be harrassed and rushed out. For the price i paid i expected more. At least the lobby looks nice i guess, its all for show though. The front doors are always open and roaches get inside, crawling around the floor. However certain members of staff were very good, professional, helpful, and well mannered, specifically loved the bag staff and the front desk. When using military ID the bar in the lobby did not accept it, dubbing that it was not a valid form of id.

The issue with our stay is that we received no help with a broken AC unit in the summer. Our room was never serviced on and stayed around 78-80 degrees all day. We were sweating and so uncomfortable with no air flow. We had to go to the lobby several times for them to just let us know they will put in another ticket for service and could not move us rooms because they were booked. I was promised 1 night would be refunded due to our poor experience, but after receiving my statement in the mail today, that was not the case. I have reached out and hoping to receive the help and receive the refund I was promised as we had a terrible 2 nights.

Affordable, friendly and convenient in New York!

This hotel has an unbeatable location for visits involving Broadway theatre or the Times Square vicinity. The staff is so gracious and friendly and does everything they can to make you feel like a valued guest. The price is usually a huge bargain on hotels.com! You'll have a tiny room with scarce space to lay out anything at all. Same for bathroom. And the room will be clean but, though updated, it is an historic building with some signs of age. But if you want an affordable, convenient, clean, friendly place with a huge lobby to impress your friends, the Paramount is for you

This is a terrible hotel and except for the location nothing else is good. The staff is not helpful and considerate. There is some expectation from a four star hotel, and it does NOT meet even few of them. - Room is very small - Bathroom fitting were not working properly. Had to call guest services to fix the toilet. - No fridge in the room - No wash basin - I was shocked to see that there is no drop off space to temporarily park your car and take the luggage out. - The space in the front of the lobby is occupied by their shuttle. - We reached there at 3:40 but staff refused to checkin until 4. - Even after charging so much, they have per bag charges for keeping the stuff in luggage room for few hours. - There is no microwave in room or lobby. - The cafe in the hotel charges for hot water. - Charge $40/day resort fee, for what? I don't know how they claim this to be 4 star. Best to avoid this hotel and stay somewhere else.

Hotel suck do not stay here!

First off the lobby was super loud with music next, the service was OK. They were somewhat friendly. We head up to the room. It was a decent size, but the bed was too small. The bathroom was a good size. Everything about the first room was not bad except for the bed. We went back downstairs to customer service and asked for a bigger bed. They sent us to a room on the 12th floor that seemed to be a back up room because it was hot nasty. The bathroom was small. The room itself was small, but the bed was a decent size. We went out and walked around. NYC got back to the hotel room and it was still hot. I had to walk back downstairs to be able to get a hold of customer service because my telephone didn’t even work. I tried everything to make it work. It would not work. Work went back downstairs to the customer service and told them that we needed a fan because our AC wasn’t working they sent an engineer up there in 15 minutes and he was very nice. He opened up our AC pulled out the filter and it was caked in like 3 inches of dust soon as he pulled that filter out. The AC started working. I have to say that was the most nastiest thing I’ve ever seen that bathroom in room 1243 was so small you could sit on the toilet and wash your hands at the same time that’s a bit ridiculous it needs upgrades. Everything about that room was so 1970 and gross. I was not happy whatsoever after paying over $400 for my two night stay. Also, there was no amenities. We didn’t have a refrigerator.

Terrible experience, when I checked in I noticed the Air Conditioning is not working, I tried to call the front desk, but it wasn’t listed on the phone like all other option, and that tells front desk trying to hide as first option or as a default response, I pushed the button on the phone calling the Guest service, and a recorded message was telling me “This room is checked out” even though I was in it and check in. Then tried to reach the front desk using my personal phone but no one answered the called. After that, I called Expedia and reported the issue, then the Expedia lady tried to contact the hotel but no one answered the phone. Before I left the hotel to explore the city, I went to the front desk and told them that the air conditioning is not running, it was set to 69, and the room temperature was 76, so the front lady told me that she will send an “Engineer” to fix it. I came back to the room close to midnight and the air conditioning still not working. The next morning the same story, I reported again to the front desk, and came back and it was still not working. It was cooler to sleep outside than inside. Then I got Expedia to make the hotel manager get involved, and he figured that the technician came and checked the AC, and said he can’t fix it now, because it needs parts, so he moved me to another room. Their front desk is rude lazy and unprofessional, they just come to get paid. The hotel is outdated nothing in the room and expensive.

Stayed for two nights. The hallway and elevator lights are so dim it was difficult to find control panel buttons. There were no face cloths available and we had to ask for hand towels. Also, the soap bottle in the shower had the word “goddamn” written on the label and I found it offensive.

This hotel is located a quick 3 minute walk to the middle of Times Square. All theaters were a 6 minute walk or less. Close to many subway entrances which made travel easier. The drains for the sink and tub did not work well but we were still able to use them. Staff was helpful and you have the ability to store bags before and after check in/out for a small fee.

Arrived my room was not ready waited 2hours the room they gave me was completely a disaster dry wall everywhere on the floor shower curtain completely broken off the wall there was feces in the toilet as well when I arrived also they didn’t have a other room to give me told me they had a bunk bed room to use for the meanwhile told me they would refund me resort fees which I have not got and the next day I had the room changed they charged me 247$ which the manager had no idea how that happened but still didn’t do refund I would never stay here again and never have experienced something like this on my vacation also the room they gave me the wall falling apart have photos disgusting

Rooms are pretty small, but expected for price. No storage or place to hold bags up. I did ask for more luggage racks and they brought them up.
