I was pleasantly surprised when I was upgraded from a single to a double room free of charge and overall I can't fault the room for the price in Manhattan. However, it would have been a 5 star review if it wasn't for the bathroom extractor fan being constantly on as well as the air con/heating fan directly above my head also being on all the time, no matter what I set on the controls. Other than that, I would actually stay here again despite these things since you should have ear plugs anyway to deal with street noise, and a little bit of dry mouth never hurt anyone!

I'm a regular at Pod 39 when I come to NYC by myself. It's very minimalist and if I was planning to spend more time in my room, I'd go elsewhere, but exactly what I need when I'm in the city to see shows and check out some exhibitions. Always clean and my room is always ready when I arrive (which has not been my experience at other NYC hotels).

My only complaint about Pod39 is that the outlets above the desk never seem to work. I always have to climb under the desk to use the outlets to charge my phone and other electronic devices. As a senior, that’s not very convenient.

Great price, the location was fairly close to broadway, and many restaurants. You can be in Time Square in less than 30 min walking. The room is small, we were tired so we slept well, but there the walls are thin, so you can hear many sounds at night. For a night or two is great. Also they offer parking a property around the corner, so that was great, we probably will be back.

Pod 39 is in an excellent location for getting pretty well anywhere in the city; it's easy to walk and to get public transport. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff was nice.

Great Crash Pad !

The rooms are small but with the name Pod you expect that. Not in the most buzzing part of Manhattan, which was what I wanted but may not be what you do. Only about 5 mins walk from Grand Central and 15 mins to Time Square. For the price this is an excellent Manhattan hotel. If like me you just want a student some like experience to crash in and will otherwise enjoy the delights of NYC, this is a great hotel for you in midtown.
