Lines were very long for check-in, for the elevators and food service. The lobby was under construction so that it was not a customer-friendly space. And a taxi, which was solicited for us at the hotel, took us to the airport and charged us twice the rate we should have been charged. We have stayed in the hotel before because of the terrific location, but will not be returning.

We got to the hotel around 1, I was told we would get a call when the room was ready and never did. Came back to the hotel around 8 and was told the first guy changed the room type and that they didn’t have a double room available but they were able to fix it right away. Room was really small but had everything we needed, older hotel but it was ok. The location was great. We were able to walk to everything.

I could not check in.... Had to change in hallway to just make my dinner reservation.... Not enough staff.. and quite honestly was the worst stay ive had .. I travel a fair share Room was size of a closet. Air did not work..... There was a 3 hour wait to check in

For the amount of money I paid for the room we stood in line for 45 mins to check in which made us late and miss our broadway show. The faucet in the bathroom was leaking, there was no refrigerator or microwave in the rooms nor were there at the least the little tiny accommodative shampoo and conditioner in the shower Highly unlikely to stay here ever again

Perfect location for all of my favorite things to do. Luckily got the 48th floor and the elevators for floors 20 up have the least traffic. Room was great and all service received was good. One of my best visits to NY!

Check in was poor. Room not ready at 4:00 pm. Nothing opened at 4:00 to 4:30 to get food, water etc. No seating in entire lobby. No garbage pails anywhere in lobby. Rooms not ready at check in and charging $6.00 a bag with concierge to store bag is unacceptable. Will not return.

This was supposed to be an exciting family trip, but the Sheraton Midtown made it the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We booked Saturday night and spent 4 to 5 hours between Expedia and the hotel trying to add Friday night. No one could figure out how to keep us in the same room both nights. That should have been the warning sign. When we arrived on Saturday, the hotel could only find one of our reservations even though my Expedia confirmation clearly showed two rooms and a request for connecting rooms. That mess ate up at least an hour. The bag check line was another hour. Our rooms weren’t ready until 330 and 430 PM. I’ve never had to wait past 4 PM for a room, and it threw off everything we had planned. This wasn’t just a short staffing issue. The entire operation felt gutted of anyone capable of handling even basic requests. For a one night stay that cost us 2500 dollars, the service and competence were nowhere to be found. The line for coffee and grab and go breakfast took 45 minutes. The bag check line the day we left took another 45 minutes, and we had to pay a third party company for it. Despite booking months in advance and requesting connecting rooms, we ended up nine floors apart. The elevators were painfully slow. There wasn’t even a concierge available at 4 PM on Saturday. The location is the only thing this place has going for it. Everything else was a disaster. I wouldn’t stay here again for work or for pleasure. Every simple task took 45 to 60 minute
