Starting with the hotel staff, everyone is very friendly—both at the front desk and in the buffet area. We even arrived before the check-in time and they gave us a room. The room is small but very convenient, and everything is well arranged so you can settle in comfortably. The only really bad part of the room is the shower: it’s transparent, and you can see everything. They should consider adding some kind of curtain that covers the whole area around it, since I don’t think they’ll remove the glass (that’s why I give it 4 stars). Breakfast is simple but has what you need to start the day. The hotel is basic but nice. The only unpleasant part is the streets leading to it, although I know that’s not their fault. Overall, it’s a good hotel to stay at for a few nights. The train station is just one block away, which is convenient for those of us using the subway.

Dishonest room assignment

Two night stay turned sour because the first night I was put in a room without A/C. I did not realize this until the next morning when I woke up drenched in sweaty sheets . I asked the room attendant can she show me how to reduce my room temperature, she chuckled and said , no A/C here. There was a reciprocation single fan in the room , the temperature read 80’ degrees and failed to Manuel adjust. My opinion is the hotel knew the condition existed and was hoping no harm, no foul. I should have been given the choice not underhandedly prescribed.

I had originally booked for 3 days and 2 nights and the moment I arrived I felt like I was entering a night club it was after 4:30p when I arrived so to me it was puzzling, it was on a Saturday and the music was so loud I couldn’t even hear myself think, I came to this hotel because I was going to a concert, it was Mother’s Day weekend so I wanted to treat myself. The lady at the check was very nice, I liked the hotel itself it was very clean but I had to shorten my stay the music was unbearable, I was able to hear the music in the parking garage, I was on the 6th floor and I was still able to hear the music and all windows were closed, shades down and it was still noisy good thing I was on my way to the concert that night. Sad, I couldn’t stay I wanted to visit the Bronx Zoo and other areas but I had a heavy load in my car so the plans were null and void.
