The room we stayed in (Number 1) is, by far, the dirtiest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The shower is caked in black mould, the sink was half blocked and covered in grime, the microwave was black inside and had old dried food over it, the floor was visibly dirty in both the bathroom and bedroom.
In addition to that the shower head was broken (in two different ways), the plug socket by the bed wasn't even fixed to the wall - but we had to use it to power the tiny space heater which was supposed to heat up the massive empty room (it did not).
We literally bought cleaning supplies and slippers (so not to touch the floor) to make our stay a little more comfortable.
I wasnt expecting the Ritz but for £93 for the night, cleanliness would be nice...
If you just need somewhere to stay for a night, it's fine. It does its job as a place to stay.
However, I don't think I'd want to stay there any longer. The bathroom stank, part of the window sill was missing, the door was hard to lock, and the wifi didn’t work. At least you couldn't hear the noise from the pub.

The staff were friendly but the room was below standard with broken windowsills and stained sheets, would have preferred the bathroom door to shut properly.

TV didn't have many channels, but a good simple place.
No parking available despite it being on their page. The whole hotel felt shabby, bed was uncomfortable and room was cold, only had a single duvet on a double bed and no suitable way of heating the room
The hotel is central at a good location. You can get to the centre in 20 mins by walking or by taking public transport. The staff is also very nice. The hotel is located above a nice pub, which you couldn't hear in your room.
The room was very simple. The bathroom is very small and was mouldy. There were no hangers or doors in the closet, so it couldn't really be used. There is a mini fridge in the room, but it wasn't the cleanest. Same goes for the floor and the towels.
Overall, if you are looking for a cheap and central option for a night or two, this hotel is alright.

Close to the city centre, top floor - quiet stay, a bit dated room and the building. Nice and friendly people at the reception/bar. No heating, so we were quite cold. Comfy beds.
I stayed here during a business trip and really enjoyed it. Just be clear going in--this is a small room above a pub, so don't expect a lot of hotel conveniences. But it was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great. And it was convenient to have a pub downstairs.
You're about 10 minutes walk to the city centre, with a Metro station a few minute away. Very convenient.
Room looked a lot nicer than you'd expect from the outside and it was clean, but... Mattress was just lumps, the door had clearly been broken into at some point and felt very unsafe - there was nothing to prevent anyone walking upstairs from the bar and easily forcing entry into the room. The TV didn't work - the aerial was broken. The room was cold and there was a lot of noise from the bar below until after midnight.
Interesting hotel, just above a pub and to get to your room you have to go through the pub.
The bathroom was ok, but in the shower I only had hot water, no way to make it a bit colder
Staff were very welcoming and polite. We had an issue with the telly in the first room they put us in, when speaking to the staff about this they decided to move us rooms which was so thoughtful. They didn’t have to do this. For it being a little hidden gem we will definitely be back!! Once again thank you to the staff at Hansen Hotel. We felt so welcome and check in was so easy also.
