Great location - close to the city centre for shops and quayside bars and restaurants. The hotel car park was very convenient. Our twin room was big and overlooked the river. It was very quiet.

We were given an early check in which was lovely. Hotel is dated, old bathrooms, basic provisions and a bit of a smell from drains till we put the plug in. WiFi problematic. Lovely river views. Close to rail bridge but in honesty didn’t disturb our sleep. No sockets beside bed for phone charging. Staff lovely. Overall it was ok.

everything was great apart from the fact that i ordered a cocktail and the bar man forgot so therefore i waited 30 minutes for a below average daiquiri which i couldn’t drink as it was too lumpy

We upgraded to an executive suite which had poor maintenance a double electric socket beside the bed came away from its back box when used black mould around one of the bathroom fittings somewhat tired and neglecting in a good modernisation the staff were very attentive and good the breakfast needed more care to detail burnt potatoes onion skins left and onion fried eggs or fried hard the bar was clean. The drinks were reasonable and well laid out.

Room, especially bathroom, was dated, beds comfortable but noisy heating, no plugs by beds, no extractor fan in bathroom so dealing with excessive steam from shower, limited tea and coffee supplies. Expected a little more for the price. Nice river view though.
