It was expected, affordable easy car parking and a comfortable room. The only fault I could find was the side lights on the bed were not independant. They were either both on or off which was inconvenient if one person wanted to read whilst the other wanted to sleep.

The property is good value and close to the Metrocentre with plenty of parking. The footpaths to the road are overgrown with brambles and there is no crossing if you get public transport into town. Beds are comfy and free breakfast is a plus.

On arrival my wife and I and our dog were greeted by extremely friendly staff. A present of a doggy bag contains two treats, pop bags and a tennis ball was given to us. Very thoughtful. Today there are so many places that say they are dog friendly but are only dog tolerant. Not so here. She was allowed to be with us while we sat for a coffee and for breakfast in the morning. Staff could not have been nicer and made our stay with remembering. The room was as you would expect. Basic and budget. It was very clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. It's a no cash hotel which does fine when purchasing extras drinks or snacks. Breakfast was basic but of a good standard. Considering most other hotels charge minimum £20 per person for it then it really was a great deal to be included in the price of the stay. Given the amount of cleaning that was going on I did wonder about the £30 additional charge for our small dog. I don't think that there would be more of an additional clean of the room to justify that amount. That's just a small things and we would definitely go back there.

Breakfast was poor, everything was dry, gross, stale and I barely ate. Cutlery was dirty as were the plates and tables. Staff were no help and not friendly. Simply told us the bare minimum and to crack on ourselves, didnt even get seated for breakfast the woman walked off. Hotel room was meh, hairs on the bed, dirty glasses, the bathroom stunk had to keep the door closed. Water was awful and smelt awful too couldn’t even brush my teeth with it because of the smell. Ive stayed at multiple of this companies hotels and this one is definitely the worst by far. Total crap, fully regret my stay. Will never return to that location, waste of a couples weekend and £100. £100 FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS IN HOTEL THAT LOOKS BARELY GOOD ENOUGH FOR A COUNCIL ESTATE

Not many sockets in the room and not in convenient places. No spare pillows. Was given less towels and cups than people in the room. Breakfast was ok but some of it was stale and the hash browns were awful, under cooked.
