A really nice hotel. But I would say a little overrated. Not 100 sure I would stay there again. The onsen could definitely use some upgrade. You didn’t feel like you are in a 5 star hotel there. I would want to know temperature and the content of the onsen water. The old Japanese onsen only worth looking, but not using … I was wondering if it was dated on purpose or really. When I saw the newer onsen, I have realized they were both just dated and not staged. No sauna at one of them , so they switch between man and woman every day. There should be clock on the wall and a sign do not speak too laud especially in Chinese language. Because the view of the lake from the upper onsen is great, but loud chatting ladies, just spoil the whole experience there. The fireworks in the evening are great! The buffet options are great too. Parking away from the hotel is not that convenient, but the shuttle bus makes it easier.

Love the firework displays from the hotel room

Excellent service from arrival to departure. Attentive staff who showed us into a lounge for check-in. Nightly firework displays directly in front of the hotel is a big plus and we are able to enjoy the firework display from our private onsen in the room. Only downside is there isn’t much to do near the hotel, other than boating on the lake. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I will definitely stay at this property again if I am in the vicinity.

It’s a wonderful hotel to enjoy the lake views and onsen. Food was pretty good and even exotic at times. Would recommend the private baths for sure.

Food lacks authentic Japanese taste. Too much focus on international food selection. There is really very little choice of food around the hotel. Room design is odd. The window opens from head to toe. We were put just below the onsen and the room was really warm. There was no aircon and airflow was bad even with both windowns open. Luckily the staff gave us a fan
