The hotel is well run and managed (it was quite evident). We had read wonderful reviews prior to booking (which led to selecting the hotel in the first place) and our experience was in alignment with everything we had read. Our room - and the hotel in general - was clean and well kept. The amenities are wonderful - the gym is clean and a decent size, the pool and pool area were always clean as well.

Hilton Homewood Suites (Ottawa)

The Hilton Homewood Suites (Ottawa) hotel was outstanding for front desk customer service satisfaction as were both of the restaurant servers at their in-house dining venue, ie.The Tulip. We were also given an upgrade to a larger (suite) room #801 which was a lovely surprise! The king size bed was very comfortable. And our room was spotlessly clean.(If only I could keep my own home as impeccable as this downtown Hilton Homewood Suites (Ottawa). And, the location of this hotel was perfect for our needs. We easily walked a few blocks from our hotel to St Patrick's Basilica to attend a relative's funeral,and today took the light rail train to the serenity of Dows Lake where we viewed beautiful multi-coloured tulips at the annual (May) Tulip Festival. Fyi- be advised that the Centre Block of the Parliament Bldgs is still under construction, but don't hesitate to visit and capture the majestic federal capital historic site.

My dog and I stayed here for several days to sightsee and go to the Tulip Festival. Check-in was quick and the staff here are very courteous. Extra kudos to the man working the breakfast buffet area yesterday, ensuring that all the food dishes were constantly replenished! I have never seen someone so on the ball and fast despite how busy it was! He was a machine! I would definitely stay again!

Great stay in the Suites if you have a family as the room is spacious and has a kitchen. Staff are friendly. Hotel is very close and walking distance (15 mins) to the Parliament building and all attractions. Parking is tight though.
