Not so kids friendly

The hotel looked good and neat, i liked the stay since with all the facilities they had was so good. But it wasn’t really family friendly, since we had a 3 kids under age 5, after entering they started to play. And the rooms aren’t sound proof the neighbor complained on it and the hotel person was at our door. It just happened within 10mins of our checkin. If we are already mentioning about the kids and their age then why can’t they allocate a sound proof room? And it was that loud to the neighbor I doubt that whatever you speak inside is going to be heard in the hallway. If there was a category for kids, I would have rated zero for it.

Avoid old suites at all cost!

I was aware that I had booked an older suite with two bedrooms but was flabbergasted by the condition and smell of it! As we arrived at the carpeted suite it had a very strong tobacco smell everywhere. I was concerned as all of us had allergies. I talked with the person at the reception and they told me the hotel was full. No chance to change rooms. Their best offer was to bring an air freshener spray aka replace one toxin in the room with another! Also some towels were missing in the bathrooms, and the ones that were there had been so carelessly folded they appeared used. I called again and got some clean towels delivered. My advise: please make sure you book one of the renovated suites as this was a huge disappointment after a long day of nice tourist activities in Ottawa.

Overall everything was great! This is our second time staying at Les Suites. The room could have used a spring clean, lots of cobwebs in the corners. All the essentials were very clean! We love how spacious the rooms are and everyone had privacy with the 2 bedrooms.

Booking said parking was a certain amount per night with come and go as you like. We arrived and they told us their parking was full and we could park at Indigo or Rideau Centre. Neither of these are come and go as you like. Parking ended up being almost twice as much. The Indigo parking stated daily parking was until 6 am. When we asked the one hotel person they had no idea the rules there. If they’re going to tell you to park elsewhere they should train staff to have an idea of the rules. An okay stay but nothing special. Staff were at least friendly.

Hotel was clean and rooms looked fresh possibly even recently renovated. We had a full kitchen with plates, cutlery, and mugs etc. Location is amazing right on the edge of the Byward Market Only two marks against it. Infound the mattress overly firm, I'm sure some would like that, and the elevators were a really slow, especially at busy periods

The modern 1-bedroom king was above expectations. We were not expecting 2 full bathrooms and an office, in addition to the bedroom and kitchen/living room.

we .loved the fact that there is a full kitchen in the suite as well as a balcony. The staff were helpful, the pool area can be a little confusing but we will have no problem returning there for are next trip.
