Room was clean and in good condition but sparse. Could you a picture on the wall and a coffee maker would have been a major plus. I expected a cabin but it was just a building with several rooms together. We came for star watching but unfortunately our RV neighbors put on the brightest light they had for their convenience but it destroyed the dark sky. Restaurant was actually pretty decent and server Dwight was extremely pleasant. Overall I would have preferred lodging in Lone Pine or Furnace Creek but that is just my preference.

It is a good stay inside the park. There are not a lot of options. This place is OK. The room is very simple and everything looks old. It has some kind of smell. It is better than tent and has its own bathroom. I guess you shouldn't expect too much in Death Valley

Tent was better than expected! Truly the pictures don’t show how it’s supplied. It’s actual beds. Had a queen bed and two twins. Was able to fot two adults and a small child. But hey if you’re coming in the winter then bring sleeping bags and extra blankets! We had a great stay and slept great!

It was an all around bad experience. The tent has a hole in the roof for a fireplace pipe but the hole was not covered and the floor of the tent was wet. It was cold the night we stayed a the dampness in the tent mad it even colder. The bathrooms were also horrible as well. The door for the toilet stall did not close and the showers did not have handles to control the temperature of the water or to turn it on. There was an on/off valve up by the shower head used to turn the water on and the temp was preset on cold. We could not even take a shower after hiking all day. There were a number of other issues but I do not have time to list all of them.

Didnt have any running water on the property for about a week and half. Nobody called to notify me so I drove almost 6 hours to find out. Reservation was for two nights. I was told I can cancel one night and get 50% off the first night but to ask the manager in the morning. I went in the morning and was told no I cant. If the property didnt have any running water, customers should have been notified so we can make prior arrangements.

We booked for two nights in tents, unaware that the bedding provided was not adequate to protect against the cold nights. Combined with the need to walk to the bathroom (which was not in good condition) and the lack of electricity, we were unprepared to stay there a second night, but the management were very kind in upgrading us to a heated motel room with bathroom and two double beds for the second night, for which we paid the difference in price. I think it would be wise to include some warning about the conditions for tent camping in winter; it would have been much more survivable with sleeping bags.
