Spotless and beautiful room! We needed an extra hour beyond checkout and front desk associate was more than happy to provide it. Decor was outstanding. Only thing I would say is website photos should be updated, as I was quite looking forward to a circle bed but found that it had been changed to a regular bed. Non-issue pretty much but maybe worth nothing. Everything else was up to snuff and overall made for an unforgettable and romantic experience.

The room was really nice! The bed was big and comfy, the room was nice and clean, and the jacuzzi was big and had all the right features. The room was also cleaned each day we were day. The only downside, the heat wasn’t working in our bathroom and it was really cold! ( we went during winter). The heat also felt like it wasn’t working that well in our room as well but it was comfortable enough.

I get there and I wait for over 5 minutes (no one else in the lobby) while the lady doing check-in clicks her mouse and talks to her coworkers about which rooms they’ve cleaned. She says “just a minute” 4x during this period. No greeting when I walked and no apology. I felt like I was being punked. Then I’m handed a slip of paper and told to sign it. On it are over 25 hotel specific policies, which I’ve never before encountered and which sign away your occupancy rights. Such gems as: 1) no visitors unless you pay $25 per. 2) even if you pay, they can’t stay longer than 30min 3) no drinking alcohol on the premises 4) no use of the outdoor areas 5) hotel can enter at any time even when the do not disturb sign is used and for any reason 6) you must let pest removal in at any time 7) no refunds 5min after check in and other ridiculous terms. Then I get to the room and I can assume that 7) above is to prevent you from running as soon as you see the room. It’s falling apart. Shower nozzle is broken on double shower. Huge cracks every where. Lastly, we are given EXACTLY one spot to park. We return from dinner and someone is parked there (neighbor has a visitor?) we have to park a nice long walk away and worry all night that our car will be towed because they don’t leave all night. All in all a terrible hotel. Poor service. Poor amenities. Draconian rules. No idea how their rating is so high, but avoid. Just go to the poconos.

I booked this stay well in advance to celebrate our wedding anniversary, expecting a smooth and special experience. After a long drive, we arrived at the hotel late in the evening only to be informed at the front desk that the room we had booked was no longer available due to unspecified “safety issues.” At no point prior to our arrival were we notified of this issue. When I questioned why we had not been given advance notice, the front desk staff stated that because the reservation was made through a third-party platform, it was Hotels.com’s responsibility to notify us. Regardless of internal processes, the end result was that we arrived exhausted, with no warning, and no viable alternative arrangements. Because it was already very late and we did not have the time or energy to search for another hotel, we were forced to accept a substitute room that did not meet our expectations or match what we had originally booked. I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested a room change, which was eventually granted. However, we were then required to move all of our belongings ourselves—including an anniversary package that had been arranged and placed in a room we never selected in the first place. This situation caused unnecessary stress and significantly diminished what was meant to be a meaningful and celebratory occasion. The lack of communication, accountability, and consideration fell well below reasonable service standards.
