Place was a bit tired and dated. The room hadn't had a good thorough clean in a long time. Linen was clean and fresh but had holes in the sheets. Front desk person was not very friendly, a bit off hand. Our room was located upstairs, there is no lift which could be a problem for some. Location to town was great, one block back from the main street and a short walk to the beach. Over all we were disappointed in the accommodation and will not be returning here.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Port Douglas Retreat. The property is beautifully landscaped and the rooms are very clean, comfortable and have everything you need. The resort is close to Port Douglas’s attractions- walking easily to the magnificent 4 mile beach, the Marina and of course McCrossan St. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Great quiet place to stay in with spacious rooms. I enjoyed how we had a kitchenette available as well as our own small living room space. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location and walkable distance to pretty much everything in Port Douglas...especially the marina. I would definitely stay here again!
