This is an older place in what has become a more seedy part of Portland. However the day was nice. I was by myself so the smaller room was perfect, didn't need more. They had lots of staff that were friendly. Good location to get to many parts of Portland.

We loved the location, and the inn is our style (a Victorian bed and breakfast), but only one staff member was friendly and helpful. The rest were average to poor (slow response time at the desk, little eye contact, not professionally dressed, no smiles, etc.) The housekeeper on our second day was not happy about being asked to accommodate our luggage while she was cleaning (we added a night and had to switch rooms). The morning we were leaving, she hovered and made us feel like we needed to get out quickly, even though we were checking out early.

Unique style of a hotel. We did book the room with a separate bathroom which was right next door to our room. Not a big deal to us. We were out most of the day so just needed a place for rest and sleep. Good location. Short drive to downtown Portland. Nice breakfast set up. Coffee and tea always available. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Check out the Vietnamese restaurant around the corner! Delicious Pho and spring rolls!

This is a wonderful, historic place. It is a great departure from many of the standard places. Also, service is excellent and the coffee and breakfast are good. We always stay here when we travel to the other Portland.

What a great find! We had a wonderful stay on our mother/daughter road trip, stopped in Portland for 2 nights. The front desk staff was so welcoming/friendly. Our room was perfect, very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a king room with private bathroom, so spacious!

The room and facilities were clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was a little cramped. There is no elevator, and as we are in our 80s the hotel nicely upgraded our room to the 2nd floor instead of the 3rd. Room was cozy.
