I was looking forward to staying at this hotel location. Unfortunately upon my arrival I immediately felt a low level of hospitality and a lack of explanation of any amenities that this location had to offer. - I did try to inquire about the hotel, but felt uncomfortable and like they just wanted me to take my room keys and go. There were issues with my reservation, even though I had confirmed it multiple times. When I went to check out this morning I noticed pending charges, when I asked the front desk about them they were unsure/unclear as to why they were there. I am happy I was checking my bank account. Our stay felt clunky, unwelcoming and uncomfortable. It’s a shame because the property is beautiful.

Service was bad they didnt seem like they wanted to be helpful at all no freezers in the in room refrigerator and when asking the frount desk if they had one i could put 2 ice packs i had for my medicine they said they had no freezers and the parking garage they use for valet is so much more expensive when the one right across the street

Such a fun stay! Stayed on the 15th floor after signing up for Hilton Honors which was a treat. The rooftop bar was a neat space to hang out at. I wasn’t expecting our stay to be as classy as it was (it was a great surprise). Only bummer was when we went to the pool one morning, there were no towels. Eventually one of the staff restocked them while we were swimming. I’d recommend this spot to anyone! Loved it!

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the The Porter Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton. The hotel was at best a 3 star. The room was rather small and the design decision to put barn doors on the bathroom was a mistake. The doors were incredibly heavy and noisy. Let me say the staff were extremely polite and kind. However, they were understaffed and, in some cases, poorly trained. For example, we decided to dine in. We requested 2 things fettuccine alfredo and calamari with 2 side orders of spinach. After waiting over 1 1/2 hours we gave up. As we were leaving the server said the order was ready. We politely said no; after some discussion we agreed to take the meal in a to-go container for free. Upon review we found no spinach with the pasta, but raw spinach and arugula in the fried calamari container. We think the cook couldn’t tell the difference between arugula and spinach. After a long day with no food, we discovered there was no tv remote. We were given a faulty remote after 3 phone calls and a visit to the desk we gave up. When discussing the remote with the ‘engineer’ we were told to just use the up and down buttons. (really?). The hotel was only a 3 and the lack of service from start to finish downgraded it to a “2”. There were other hotels in the downtown area for a lower price point. Although the staff was nice they simply couldn’t carry out even the simplest of task.
