We had an amazing time at Canto Del Sol. The staff was helpful and friendly, the daily and nightly entertainment was fun and engaging, beautiful grounds and the pools were clean. The buffet was good with a nice assortment of foods. The a la carte restaurants were top notch food and service. Book those early in your stay as we didn't get to try one of them that we wanted. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite in the mountain section. This was the only disappointment of the trip. Although the room was clean, everything was very old. The kitchen needs to be removed as it wasn't stocked with anything usable, and really who needs a kitchen at an all inclusive? The tubs and sinks all need replacing, none of them had working stoppers. Even cheap simple things, that are easy to fix,like a missing knob to pull for the shower, as well as shower curtain rod clips. We thought about buying a set for them while we were there. The beds were old, but still comfortable. We didn't go to Mexico to spend our days inside though, so it really wasn't a big deal for us. The experience of everything else overshadows the minor inconveniences, but i could see some people making a big deal over this. Would definitely stay there again, but maybe try a different section of the resort than the mountain suites

We enjoyed the area in the mountain standard side of the resort when we first got there, they put us very far at the end of the property. My husband has a heart issue and they had no problem moving us to a room closer which we appreciated, I would say the only issue we had with this property was there needed to be more communication of what they were cooking for food different places on the resort other otherwise we were very with this resort we also enjoyed the little welcome dance that the staff put on every day

Went with my sister & my 14 yr old daughter. Staff was great. Food was good. Always found something at the buffet to eat. Grounds were clean and safe. Shopping and bank right out the hotel doors that were cheaper than at the boardwalk or the mall. Nighly entertainment could have been better but some resorts dont wven have any. Pools were great and found other pools past the church and tennis court over the bridge. Seen on another review that from the airport qalk right thru to outside, turn left, then left around the building and go over the bridge where youll find taxis for half the price of the ones at the airport. It was worth the 2 min walk.

The property is in a very good location in the hotel district of Puerto Vallarta. Directly on the beach within walking range of local shops, street vendors and restaurants. The beach itself is sandy, walkable, and easy access to many things. The tide had huge undertows with red flags 🚩 but you could walk 15 minutes north to safety swim. The hotel Itself is run down and needs a refresh despite the new paint and upkeep of the building grounds and gardens which were beautiful.

Very accommodating staff. Although property is older it's still clean and well kept. Buffet was okay. The specialty restaurants were very good.

The property was situated in close proximity to the heart of Puerto Vallarta. You could easily walk to where ever you wanted to go. Food was ok. Wish there was more of a Mexican dish selection.

I liked the property and their location is close to the airport, their staff was very friendly, their food was very good. But the rooms are deteriorated and a few things didn’t work properly. After all it was a very good experience.

Pretty average resort. Our initial suite was quite run down and uncomfortable. Thankfully after many talks with a supervisor, we were moved to a decent suite. The food was also average. Standard buffet and all 4 'special' restaurants didn't offer anything spectacular. Snack bar was just ok. The staff are the one thing getting a 10/10. All areas had excellent customer service/experiences. Even the cleaning crew did an amazing job keeping things clean. Overall, it's worth going if you get a good deal, as we did. The resort is small and doesn't offer lots of bells and whistles. I would rate it 6/10.

The property was beautiful, the plants were mature and gorgeous! The beach access was great and there were lots of choices for seats on the each and by the pool. The buffet was medeocre with some options that were good. The a la carte restaurants were very good. The staff was wonderdul, very friendly and accomodating. Being close to downtown was convenient and fun. Other then the buffet our stay was fantastic!

They have to change the way they book there sit down dinner service booking. Shouldn’t have to stand in line for an hour to book dinner reservations.
