When reserving our room thru Expedia I paid extra for an ocean view room. We got placed across the road with no ocean, went to the front seat and was told to bad… people we were with didn’t pay extra and got ocean view

The staffs are great, friendly and very professional specially the food and beverage. The front Desk interaction need improved when you pass no good morning nor how’s stayed. I stayed one week no front liner nor sales department interaction with the guest. Nor Manager talk to guests. The front office desk looks overwhelmed with work. They all focus on the screens seldom look at the guests. I was disappointed with Expedia, I booked two separate beds. Upon arrival the hotel, I was booked one bed. I complained and the desk rectified the issue. I am a hotelier, this always happened with Expedia. Wrong type of room or number of beds. Sometimes the code of payment whether Expedia virtual card or Expedia guest collect. The beach areas need upgraded. Lounge chairs need cleaning and nipa or shade umbrella needed to be replaced . The foodstuffs need more variety everyday. Over experience is great . Would I recommend the hotel? Certainly I will. The Food and Beverage staffs are awesome and friendly.

The hotel is a quick drive from the airport. Check in process was quick and easy. The resort is a lot larger than it looks but easy to get to the central areas like the main pool and buffet. The resort was incredibly clean. The pool areas and the bathrooms were always impeccable. We stayed in the Luxury area with a 1bedroom suite. It was plenty big for my family of 4 and had a balcony that overlooked the Luxury pool. The beach was nice, we even found an area where there were no rocks in the water. Our main complaint about this resort was that it was a mission to get our bar fridge stocked. It seems like a little thing but daily we had to make several trips to the front desk and request that the fridge be restocked. Otherwise, the service was excellent. Alex and Miguel took very good care of us at the buffet, Alfredo at the pool and Raol at the Bell desk. The covered, outdoor tennis courts were a big draw for us and did not disappoint. Be sure to make reservations early in your stay and note that there is a fee to have the lights turned on while you are playing on the court. In all, we had a good stay.

Our first room was SO far away from the pool, anyone could just come up to the room, didn't feel safe at all, the room smelled AWFUL, I had to pay over 5000 pesos to upgrade our room for four nights. My daughter and I have celiac disease, despite ensuring our food was gluten free, it in fact wasn't and our last full day, my daughter and I were extremely ill because what we ate had gluten. I initially thought we were getting a good deal, but after paying for a room upgrade and for several Ubers as there was no shuttle, I spent more then what I would have elsewhere. Next year we will avoid Canto Del sol and be going back to Sunscape!

The restaurants where even better than the last time we stayed at Canto del Sol, the staff is very professional and extremely kind, the recreation was fun, I’m a devoted Catholic and enjoyed the Church, my husband loves the tennis courts and my daughter really enjoys the kids club. It’s the perfect resort for us

The friendliness and courtesy of each and every employee. The servers were very attentive and especially Fernando at the Cevicheria area . Food was delicious :-) They have different type of food everyday. I was impressed and very satisfied with this place. I will go back again.

No blackout drapes like advertised. The terrace allowed people to walk over into mine and take my chair. Terrace was unusable due to filith of bird poop never once cleaned up (it was COVERED). Room was above a liquor store where people smoked and smoke came into my room. There was a humming/buzzing high pitch sounds coming from the bathroom and I needed earplugs to muffle the noise all day and night. TV didn't work and took 2 days to get a new one. Fridge freezer was super noisey and running nonstop and replaced three days later. Bright lights shown into room all night. With no blackout drapes people could see me with the lights on (and coming into my terrace), and the bright lights prevented me from good rest.

This Hotel is a little outdated and they need to do some upgrades on the rooms condition, like fixing toilet flushes. But overall we loved this place and would consider it again for our future stays

There were 3 different pool areas, all offering a different vibe. The main loud, fun and activities with a big bar. Our favourite the infinity pool and children’s pool. Much quieter and pool side services (food and drink). Then the last one was in between music and a bit livelier with an amazing Cevicheria that also served homemade ice cream. There were 4 ala cartes all very good! The main buffet was also very good with lots of variety to choose from. The property’s gardens were gorgeous! Super clean and the staff was very friendly! They kept our room stocked as we had a refrigerator, with pop,beer,water! Robes and slippers in the bathroom. A beautiful room and property. We will definitely go back there!

Canto del Sol was a vibrant resort with close proximity to the beach, city, and local culture. The venue and the staff was exceptional with a variety of activities, pools, amenities and food to enjoy! It is a resort friendly for singles, friends, families, weddings and more! 10/10 would recommend and go back again!

Family friendly, reasonable, clean, fun, but most of all amazing service. The buffet staff in particular go out of their way to give you a great experience. Plus, the ocean views from the buffet are incredible. Rooms and food are adequate and on par for ⭐️⭐️⭐️ resorts. We had a great time with our family.
