We traveled with a group of 27 in Mid-March and had a great time. The resort is well maintained and is generally beautiful. We really liked the lunch option of burgers and hotdogs because it was so easy with a large group. We agreed that overall the food was good but not great. Getting reservations at the restaurants was difficult and annoying. Bar service wasn't always timely and they ran out of Tecata Light multiple times during our stay. Joel was a great server around the pool, however. He and other servers worked their butts off because of a lack of service staff (in my opinion). If you are looking for a solid resort with no frills but no real downside, don't be afraid to visit this place. I'd go back if the price was right again.

Great family resort! Had the best time and the smaller resort was the perfect size for our multi family trip. Kids had a blast popping in for crafts at kids club and everyone was very helpful and made our stay great. Our husbands all loved Leo!

The resort seemed older than it was. The hot water went out quite a bit and the bathroom drains smelled of sulfur. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub but never had enough hot water to use it. The food was average but the staff was very nice.

My partner and I had an excellent experience at the Melia. For reference, we are in our late twenties and this was my second time staying at this all-inclusive. It is very family oriented with lots of young children but this didn’t bother my partner and I. For the price, I would highly recommend this resort. I am celiac and had many gluten free options available at both the buffet and the 2 other restaurants. We never got tired of the food! The staff were very helpful in showing me what I could eat. In particular, I’d like to thank David, who was exceptionally helpful. He remembered my name and made a point of making my partner and I feel taken care of. During our last dinner, he even had our server send us an extra special little dessert after I had mentioned we were leaving the next day. Small gestures like this go a long way!! He was amazing. There are poolside activities and lots of things to try including mini golf, ping pong, kayaking, etc., all free of charge. The pool area is nice and the beach (while on the smaller side) is beautiful. The hotel is conveniently located close to many things. It is a 20 ish minute drive away from the boardwalk but it feels safe enough to walk around outside of the resort grounds as well. We will be coming again!

5 min walk to Marina, great staff, lots of activities such as mini golf, ping pong, pool, foosball. Food was decent but not great most nights.

My family and I recently spent nine days at the Meliá, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were exceptional, providing some of the best service we've encountered at a resort. The Expedia check-in lounge made the arrival process smooth and welcoming. The buffet was excellent, and my kids absolutely loved it. Our room was great, with a stunning terrace view. While the bed was a bit firm, it didn’t take away from the overall comfort of our stay. We usually stay in Nuevo Vallarta, but the Meliá's great pricing encouraged us to try something new—and we’re so glad we did! The marina is just a two-minute walk away, and the Thursday evening market was a highlight. We even returned the next day to explore the area without the market and found it just as safe and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back next year!
