Needs complete remodeling, big apartment but very old. Did not feel comfortable staying there. Not safe for kids because they could fall from the room and stairs. Baby crib from the 80s that no kid could sleep in we were charged for it but they did remove the charge after speaking to them. The staff were nice. They do lock the entrance door so it’s safe to stay there. Big kitchen has everything you need

An absolutely stunning hotel with the most amazing staff! Carolina and Javier are some of the best front desk managers I have ever had the pleasure to stay with! The rooms are spectacular and so unique! The roof top pool with the most personable bartender Jesus made you feel like you were right at home! Breakfast was included in my second stay and was super delicious in an insanely gorgeous room with balcony views. I will stay here over and over again! So grateful and thankful to have found this hidden gem! 5 Stars across the board!

The hotel seemed really unique online. However, the photos made it seem much more clean than it actually was. There were cats in the lobby (great if you're a cat person). The pool seems misrepresented too. It's very small. However, it has a nice small bar there with a friendly bartender. My room was acceptable but required walking up a small, narrow, twisted staircase, which made it difficult to bring items up and down safely. I ate breakfast upstairs one morning (I only had toast, coffee, and fruit). The staff there did not seem very friendly. There's a beautiful river and trail outside, but I did not find it convenient getting around. There was really not a lot of close dining nightlife without taking a walk. I decided to check out two days early because all night there seemed to be a gurgling and knocking sound, almost like water draining from a wash machine. It was so loud that I could not sleep. I spoke to management about it and they said that had never happened before. I was not offered any sort of refund (even partial) for my remaining two days, so I just considered it a loss.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Javier at the front desk was amazing, and Jesus at the bar was awesome. Elizabeth, the hotel cat, was adorable as well. The room was so clean and had so much character. We enjoyed the rain shower and beautiful bathroom, in addition to our balcony with stunning views of PV. The couples massage in the room was one of of the best we’ve ever had - highly recommend. The infinity pool and bar was amazing. It was hot when we came so the A/C was wonderful in the room. Everything in Zona Romantica was within a 15 minute walk. We were tucked away by the river which was quaint, but just blocks away from bars and entertainment. We will be back as soon as we can— You MUST stay here!

This hotel has become our favorite in Puerto Vallarta. It’s has the feel of staying at a family member’s house. With an infinity pool that has a great view. All of the staff is outstanding however Javier at the front desk goes above and beyond when it comes to personal service. He quickly notices that my husband and I drink a lot of coffee and arranged to put a coffee maker in our room without us even requesting one. The entire staff shares the same desire to make every guest feel at home. For this reason I will stay in this beautiful hotel every time!

We loved the eclectic, unique rooms! The property is beautiful and a one of a kind. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are big and beautiful. The beds were all cozy and the a/c worked great. My 3rd visit to the property. Many more to come. The staff and rooms are amazing. The rooftop pool is a beautiful place to watch the sunset. Many restaurants very close by. Lifetime customer!

My husband and I stayed at this adorable hotel for 3 nights. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. While the hotel boasts beautifully decorated spaces it is the staff at Rivera Del Rio that made this place wonderful. The breakfast staff, the bartender and the woman at front desk and Javier were very attentive and a pleasure to talk to. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying here again.

Rivera del Rio was amazing, I loved everything about my stay. The staff was wonderful, the building is fascinating, the pools were luxurious, and I looked forward to breakfast every day.
