We had a wonderful stay! The front desk people were so helpful and we were able to see Northern Lights. We enjoyed the jazz live music in the hotel, too. We’ll definitely go back to stay if we can go back to Iceland!

We loved the location of the hotel and the rooms were spotlessly clean so well done housekeeping, but the hotel had two male receptionists that couldn't have done more for us and one female receptionist who was very off hand and who couldn't have cared less when we got stuck in the lift and when we returned for a third night at the hotel after touring other parts of Iceland couldn't remember us . She definitely lets down the hotel with a very poor attitude which is a shame because it's a great hotel with a great location.

Loved our stay at the Hotel Holt for our first visit to Iceland. The staff was very thoughtful and helped us celebrate daughter’s birthday as a surprise! Good size rooms. Very walkable to attractions and downtown. Giving four stars only because the coffee machine didn’t work.

We spent our last 2 nights in Iceland here. This hotel is right in downtown Reykjavik, easy walking to all the shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. The room itself was very comfortable. We had a suite, so our daughter had the sofa bed all to herself, while we had a separate bedroom. The breakfast was AMAZING, even included a tsp of cod liver oil, which brought me back to my childhood! Free private parking for guests was a plus.

Lack luster dated hotel. Halls smell and look old. Room was fresh though. Horrible buffet breakfast with dry scrambled eggs and hot dogs.there are walkable options locally though. Snaps was nice. curtains didn’t cover the windows so we slept in the midnight sun. Paper thin walls. Much of the art is warped and yellowed. This was probably lovely back in the day.
