Despite the renovations, The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. It was a great one night stay.

The property is undergoing extensive renovations and this was not clear before we booked. It smelled strongly of construction and paint and there was no restaurant even through site said there was one. Fire alarm woke us up in morning, was caused by construction. I am sure it will be very nice once finished but should not have been open.

The hotel was under renovation and nobody bothered to let me know that the place was full of dust elevators were dirty and taped up and it just was not an experience that I needed to pay as much money as I paid for I had planned on having dinner in the restaurant only to find out that the restaurant was under renovation as well they had a makeshift room that they were trying to pass off as a restaurant with the bar but it just was substanding so I ended up having to go out at night in the cold in the strange place when I had planned to be in a hotel where I could have dinner and be in for the entire evening and not go out I am presently trying to get in contact with someone at the hotel only to not have anyone answer the phone in the so-called lobby of which there was not one but I certainly feel that I should be compensated somehow for my stay and certainly not expected to pay full price and also I was under the impression that hotels.com was a place to go to to get a better price in your reservation only to find out that you charge me about $50 more than the hotel itself would have charged me so I will no longer be dealing with your service again

We stay at this hotel every year when visiting the wineries around Riverhead for celebration my friends birthday, but this time I was extremely disappointed. Expedia did not inform me that the hotel was undergoing renovations in multiple areas, resulting in a lot of dust everywhere. The pool and jacuzzi were out of service due to the construction. The service from the staff was not the best, and honestly, the breakfast was also not at its usual standard. Unfortunately, this stay was quite disappointing. On a positive note, the third floor has already been renovated, and it looks beautiful. I hope that by next year, everything will be completed, but I would have appreciated more information in advance to avoid any surprises.

I gave them two starts because the room was exceptional. The room was great and so was the service. My complaint is that the hotel is under renovations and nobody wants us before checking in. My son really wanted to go to the pool but of course the pool was out of service. We were told to use the outdoor pool that is heated but the only way to get to it is thru the main lobby out the door walk to the gate that was locked and my key didn't open it. You know walking on the hotel on your bathing suit is a bad idea? The hallways and lobby are full of construction workers. How was I supposed to use the other pool? How am I supposed to get to it. My son was very disappointed. If the hotel is doing renovations and the facilities aren't available the should send an email in advance. This was a terrible experience

Hotel is under construction no refund was offered. No prior information about the fact that there is no pool access. The lobby seating is dirty with construction objects and with ripped chairs.
