Hotels with Bars in Russell

Very nice. We were in the newer section in the back - the space worked for us. Overall the hotel is fine - we ate dinner there once. Sat on the porch which was a little cold - they have plastic curtains to close it off (to a degree) and radiant heaters. Seems like they were a bit light on staffing - saw only 2 waitstaff - so they had a hard time keeping up. We were there at the end of the season (mid April) so I need to cut them some slack. Russell is nice and peaceful, but quite small. Stayed for 3 nights which was probably one night too long.

Our group of 9 adults stayed at this well equipped comfortable home for 10 nights. Every room had a double bed that perfectly suited our needs. The huge deck with drop down canvas kept us warm & sheltered outside during wet weather. The deck also provided an awesome space to share meals and enjoy the beautiful views of Tapeka point. Our hosts were nothing short of brilliant! Ahead of the cyclone they advised us that a generator was available in the event of a power cut - just awesome communications throughout. Overall we rate our stay 10/10, and highly recommend this property and its hosts. We had the best holiday with our kids thanks to this awesome home!
