Castle Inn is a safe, affordable convenient place to stay when visiting San Francisco. We stayed two nights- visited the city for one day. Office staff was very friendly and gave tips to navigate the city. This motel is walkable to Lombard st, cable car stop, Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown- still some hills to navigate. The rooms were clean and there were adequate spaces to spread out belongings. The sink area is separate from shower and toilet, I would have liked a privacy curtain so as not to disturb sleeping companions while getting ready. Free parking was a plus- parking is a little tight- spaces are sort of underground.
