Efficient and friendly staff; clean room and lobby

Check-in was fast and smooth. The front desk clerk, a young Asian lady with long hair, was efficient and very friendly, offering to let us choose a specific floor since there were many options available on Sunday evening. It’s always nice to be greeted by an efficient and friendly receptionist when checking in. The standard 2-Queen room was spacious enough for the three of us to store our luggage and necessities. The room was very clean. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and helpful. The pillows were cloud-like and comfortable, and while the blankets were thin, they still kept us warm. The lobby was very spacious and clean, with modern decor. After checkout, I realized I had left my jacket in the closet, so I called the front desk. They kindly kept it in a bag for me until I picked up. Overall, the staff were excellent, and the cleanliness exceeded my expectations. I will definitely return when my daughter has a volleyball tournament at the San Mateo Event Center!

We've stayed at this property before. We stayed in an accessible room and it was the same as the last time. It also had the same issue...the heater. It take at least 2 hours for the heat to go from 66 degrees to 72 degrees. And yes, I had someone come and take a look again. Also, I informed the front desk at check out and the lady in my had also mentioned she had the same issue for the heating. Something to think about Hampton Inn.

What no heat???

When we checked in the room had a BROKEN A/C & HEAT. we were given a PORTABLE HEATER TO PLUG IN....TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. after two hours of absolutely freezing and being told they could not get us another room... a room was found...we have stayed there many times and NEVER had problem like that before...thank you whoever you were that found room for us. we are both in mid 70's. and no heat was unacceptable!!

The room was clean, spacious, and only an eight minute drive from the San Mateo Event Center. The issue I experienced was with the Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity reaching my room. I was not able to use any of my mobile devices while in my room and did not receive text messages, calls, or notifications while my hotel room. Staff advised they were not able to change my room due to the hotel capacity.

The room is freezing because the air and heat are not working and wont be fixed until 2 days from now. They said there are no more rooms available and they are out of space heaters. All they are willing to offer is some extra blankets. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Decent stay with broken heater

We were in town for a volleyball tournament and it was freezing in our room. The heater in our room was out and we checked another room on the same floor and it was also out as well. They had to move us to another floor at 1030 pm.
