The location of this hotel is probably the best thing about it. The rooms were quite modern but not one amenity in it other than a kettle. No fridge or any storage whatsoever. The staff didn’t even acknowledge you when you walked into the hotel let alone had any information that was useful for us as first time traveller to San Fran. So you really need to work out everything for yourself. Don’t bother asking the staff you’re lucky if they even look up from the front desk when you enter or leave the hotel.

Pros: -Friendly and helpful front desk staff -Clean lobby / clean rooms -Across the street from Union Square and Union Square underground parking garage -Cable cars outside the front door Cons: -The hotel bathrooms have barn doors, so there is no real privacy. You will get bathroom smells and shower steam wafting into your bedroom -There is no A/C, and you think you don’t need it because its SF…but the room was very stuffy -The room fan was not balanced, therefore was noticeably loud while trying to sleep -The tv had a high pitched sound that would not turn off, even if the tv was turned off. You cannot unplug it because the outlet is on the ceiling. It was impossible to get a good night’s rest

Tiny clean cute hotel room. My only complaint was that for two of the three days I stayed there, the key card machine was not working, so Everytime I left my room, someone from the front desk would have to let me in.

It was a very good experience! I went to SF with my family around Christmas time as a gift for the family and we loved it! Perfect location close to everything and easy access to transportation that goes everywhere!!!

Although the staff was very friendly and the room was clean, the mattress was extremely stiff and hurt both our backs during our stay. The sink was also really small so we had to put our toiletries on the actual toilet. Might be worth upgrading to deluxe just for that but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The room was very small, but worked for what we needed, the location is perfect close to everything and walkable. Right on the cable car line. The only complaint I had was that the hallway by the elevator smelt very strongly of urine - but the rooms were clean.
