Location was convenient to other attractions. We were next door to the Fairmont that had a nice variety of restaurants and a Foxwoods casino. Food at our hotel was good but selection was limited.

Nice place to stay however prices are out this world. No wonder swim up bar is almost empty when drinks go for $26. That’s almost double then in NYC. If they will lower prices on drinks to 16 bucks not only they will have more customers but also will make more money. Early check in costs $100 and late check out $150. Thank god access to the beach was free in this hotel

The hotel was just okay...for almost $500/night I would expect better. Pool was nice as was the surrounding area of the pool. Swim up bar was nice. Service was not great and took almost an hour from order time every time, even for drinks. No hot water for showers one of the nights either. Nice location on the beach but service needs to be improved for that price.

The hotel was very nice. It isn’t the newest however it is well kept. Excellent views (ocean). Everyone we encountered were very courteous and helpful. The food we tried didn’t taste great, it was not hot ;although they were quick to remedy this). Also, there was a mildew scent to the room that was off putting. We had air freshener that we used whenever we were in the room.

Very Disappointed that the hotel would not accomodate a 2-hour late checkout without charging a$150 dollar fee. Very dissappointed given the $$$ spent throughout the week at tge hotel. Naturally we declined the fee and rushed out.

It was excellent, room did had minor damage when receiving the room, like the bathroom door would not lock, and the toilet holder was broken and fell, making the people downstairs complain about noise coming from our room, but other than that all good, would’ve loved for the pool to close a little later than 9, loved the treatment that William gave us on our stay in the breakfast restaurant, both times I have stayed here, he has given us an amazing service definitely 100/10

We had an amazing week at the Royal Sonesta San Juan! Staff were incredibly friendly and service exceptional. The grounds were immaculate, beach was clean and perfect for swimming and water sports. The property is a quick 5 minute ride from the airport, but we never heard loud aircraft flying over us. We really liked the food at the beach and pool bars, however, found the Italian restaurant attached to the resort to be overpriced and mediocre at best. For a really nice dinner, check out Entrevinos Wine Bar, across the street from the resort. Also across the street is Mi Casita, which had tasty Mofongo, and a marketplace where you can buy snacks and drinks way cheaper than on the resort property - we purchased bottles of prosecco there and had no problem bringing them back to the resort and drinking them by the pool. Also recommend walking down the street to the pharmacy to purchase sunscreen, as the resort charges almost $30 for a spray bottle. We truly loved this resort and can't wait to visit again!
