This amazing 3 bedroom 2 bath villa is located on the hillside of the Villa Sol Beachside resort with 180 degrees of the ocean and a brand new infinity pool. The property itself is recently renovated and comes with 3 large bedrooms and 2 full baths, one being an ensuite off the main bedroom. The large living space is fully equipped with large kitchen with all the modern conveniences, living room and large TV. All of this is accompanied by a large covered outdoor living space. Located on a secure resort with 2 pools, 2 restaurants, a swim up bar and a tram to get you around the resort on the days you just don't feel like walking. The resort is beachside so you can walk or ride down to the waves. High speed internet is provided free of charge and a bbq to make those evening meals if you like. Located only 26 mins from the Liberia airports makes your cab ride affordable. The front lobby of the resort also has a tour desk to book excursions to make your life easy.

WOW! We just spent two weeks in paradise. We lived on the patio - watching the sunset every night, enjoying the plunge pool and barbecue. The unit is as presented - easy to live in, clean, well-stocked with dishes and cooking items. Air conditioning and fans helped to keep things comfortable. The concierge service was fantastic - taking care of airport shuttles, car rentals and maintenance issues in a quick and efficient manner (muchas gracias Raquel!) The racoons and cats are very present, but we had no problems keeping them out. Be sure to listen for the howler monkeys. Stores are an easy walk to get too, and the resort's shuttle trucks help you get up the hill to the unit. The resort's restaurant and bar are nice and have fantastic views. The beach has tidal pools for exploring. All in all it was a great holiday for our group.

I had contact with the VRBO owner, the broker (Raquel) and they were both professional, kind and quick to reply. The house was clean, spacious, great air conditioning and plenty of fans and beautiful! I thought the photos were nice but it was more beautiful in person! The broker met us at the property, gave a tour and explained the necessary details. We stayed for 10 days. Used our personal pool half the time and the resort pools and shuttle service daily. This was our first time to Costa Rica and we had such a fantastic trip that we can't wait to go back. This location was close to Liberia Airport (30 min easy drive) clean and well maintained. Our views were incredible! 15 min drive to Coco Beach and easy walk or shuttle ride to Hermosa Beach from the attached Villa Sol resort. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Great location near beach

This property is amazing and just a short walk to Playa Hermosa, which is a great beach within the bay. Not so crowded. Location is 10 min drive to Playa Coco area with more shopping and markets.

Beautiful home with bay view and close beach access

Great location close to the beach and with a beautiful view of the bay. Nice patio area to relax. Gated resort with guards at both entrances. Extremely safe feeling. Only down side is that the houses are close together. There was also some confusion with the check-in. I’m new to renting from VRBO and didn’t know I needed to contact the host before arriving.

Great excluding raccoon visit

The lock on patio door did not work when we got there. The pole to block it had rolled under couch from previous guests or cleaning crew, so we didn’t know it was there. No one responded until we contacted again after 6 raccoons came in and ate about 100 in food before we woke up to scare them off. They did come and fix after our visitors but we were still out food and had to leave unlocked for first 4 days. We also asked them to send someone to clean up the mess, but that didn’t happen. We loved to deck/pool area.

Nice Villa, close to pool, has everything you need for a great vacation. We wore shoes in the villa as the floors were dirty. Complex is very hilly and this villa sits up higher away from the beach with Great sunset views! There are shuttles to take you to the beach area. We did have visits from local cats, raccoons and a baby skunk.

Nice Villa

We enjoyed our stay at Villa 51 in Villa Sol. It is in a nice location in the villa, close to the pool and a nice walk to the restaurant. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We spent time every day at the beach, and enjoyed the food at the restaurant! We did have a hard time talking to the manager because he did not speak english and we do not speak spanish. The beds were very hard :(

Easy vacation

We had a great time. We had a question during our stay and Jay replied to our message very quickly. (He had been responsive to a few questions from us before our arrival, too.) The villa was clean and had everything we needed. The view is great, and the landscaping provides appropriate privacy from the neighbors even though the villas are fairly tight together. We didn't use the grill, but the deck can make for a great dinner area. The resort shuttle service was really good - even though the resort was very busy during Easter weekend. It is nice that the villa isn't all the way up the hill. We usually used the shuttles going up hill, but walked down sometimes, which only took a few minutes. Having the villa be part of the resort worked out perfectly for us. The rental included all of the resort amenities except bar/food, which was perfect for us. When we used the resort restaurant, we just paid. We didn't have a rental car, but there was parking available very nearby if we had needed it. We booked some tours through the resort desk, and they also booked a driver for us when we wanted to go to another area. We were glad that we had arranged airport transfers before we traveled, but the resort desk would arrange them. This part of Costa Rica was very easy for us American tourists. There was enough English spoken by people in the tourism industry, and we used credit cards and US Dollars without ever exchanging currency. We would stay at this villa again.

This property is a reasonable place to stay. However, we did not start out on the right foot. After travelling all night from Canada, we got the key from the front reception and entered into a real mess. No cleaning had been done. It took us 2 hours to round up the cleaning staff, then 2 hours at the restaurant with an unexpected bill and several more hours waiting on the steps and outside the unit till it was ready for us. Not what we had expected. Jay needs to coordinate this better. So, I give it a 3 star rating on the cleanliness category, due to the delay. It was well cleaned and ready for us, once it got done around 6 pm. 6 of us shared family time here. The a/c is new and worked well. The pool is a short walk away and was very welcome. The kitchen is well equipped with all items needed, except that the wine and drink glasses are in sad quantities and selection. Jay needs to buy complete sets of wines glasses and general drink glasses so that 6 people (and 2 dinner guests one night) could complete a reasonable choice of beverage glasses. What is there now is quite mismatched and deficient. The patio furniture, as others have commented, is quite flimsy and uncomfortable. Needs replacement. Other than those 2 details, the condo is quite as advertised and very comfortable. The beach is pleasant. It’s is walkable if you like to have a bit of exercise. The shuttle buses are very convenient for going to and from if you choose to go with them

I arrived early, PM allowed me to drop off my luggage to go and explore resort. I returned at 3pm

I arrived early, project manager allowed me to drop off my luggage. I return at 3 PM my check in time. Cleaning crew was still At the villa. They didn't finish on tell about 5:30 Pm. The villa was not very clean especially the kitchen in the bathrooms. The patio furniture was not a very good condition I suggest it being replaced. To view as excellent, other than declining this when I arrived and the poor Patty of furniture the remainder of my experience was fa tastic. Couldn't ask for a better property manager.

Beautiful Stay

We travelled here with 4 children, ages 6-13. The villa and view are beautiful. You will not be disappointed. It is full of helpful amenities like washer and dryer and dishwasher. The resort is great. Lots of activities for the kids and staff are friendly and helpful. You can purchase an all inclusive option at the hotel but to be honest, it is a buffet option and the food is not always amazing-although it was on Xmas Eve! The beach is beautiful and we spent a lot of time there. The only negative is that due to proximity to villa, you need to travel there by using 2 shuttles and this can sometimes take time. Not a deal breaker though. Overall, this was an amazing stay and we would do it again. Thank you to our hosts!

Great view and comfortable

The view from the deck is great to sit and have morning coffee to contemplate the day and the sunsets were even better. We didn't need anything. Everything we needed to prepare food was there without improvising with utensils, as we've done in past rentals. A/C was great. Bathrooms were clean and bright, beds very comfortable. The shuttle service is just steps away and the drivers were very accommodating. I took my Paddleboards to the beach every morning and the drivers picked me up in front of the villa and helped me load and unload them and provided direct service to the beach and back the villa. We had quite a bit of wildlife joining us every night around 8pm, including a Coati who just sat on the slope below the deck. The neighbors are great and the whole Villa Sol property well maintained. I would recommend Playa Hermosa and this property to anyone going to Cost Rica for the first time. Owners quick to reply to my whatsapp messages. Thank you Cinthya and Jay!

Awesome villa in great location!

We highly recommend this well-stocked 3 bedroom villa with an incredible view of the bay. The entire gated facility was clean and staffed with very friendly people who were always willing to help. Pools were close by, shuttle ran every 5 minutes, beach was quiet with beautiful sunsets. The owner and property manager were quick to answer our questions. We were able to enjoy lots of activities and lots of beauty! Thank you!

Had a great stay in Playa Hermosa, one of our favorite beach cities in Costa Rica. The property was well stocked with the necessities and the patio was a great place to enjoy the view to end the day. It is located in a resort style community and it has a shuttle to take you down to the beach with ease. There are two pools you can access, we enjoyed the pool near the restaurant, it was less crowded, with only two pools on site, they can get busy. Everyone on the property was helpful and friendly, would recommend a stay here!

You cannot go wrong staying here! Everything is as wonderful as is described in the reviews and the Property’s description. The Villa’s kitchen is fully equipped with many extras that other properties don’t include. The common area is very large, as is the patio/balcony. The beds are comfortable and the washrooms & showers are clean and modern. The amazing view from the patio/balcony greets you every morning with a spectacular vista and every evening with outstanding sunsets that will take your breath away. Cynthia, the property manager is very responsive and professional. You never have to wait long for her to respond to your questions or concerns. She can also help you with booking excursions and car rentals. The beach is an easy 5-10 minute walk or you can use the free shuttle that comes and goes frequently. Villa Sol also has 3 wonderful pools, that you can use. One pool is two minutes away. We had a outstanding time here and look forward to returning next year. Pura Vida

The ocean view from the mountain house was fabulous. If you want a quiet and peaceful location, this is the right place. Pool was very close to the location of the house. House was clean bright and stocked with whatever you needed to cook except your food. We will go back.

Beautiful Villa

Our stay at this property was amazing! Beautiful views, easy access to the beach with the shuttle, gorgeous pool, fun kids activities at the hotel, great restaurants on the beach. The villa was clean and perfect for our family. It was nice to have wifi, laundry machines and ac. We enjoyed Playa Hermosa and the vibe of Villas Sol. I highly recommend this beautiful villa.
