I am very satisfied with my stay. The hotel and room were great. There is a kitchenette if you want to cook some food. Each room has a little patio in front of it with table, chairs, and hammock that face the pool. I especially enjoyed eating my meals on the patio being able to enjoy the weather and the view. Breakfast was delicious, served each morning including eggs, fresh tropical fruit, gallo pinto, and Costa Rican baked goods. The pool was nice for a refreshing swim. The location can't be beat, as it is just a block from the beach and right near the heart of Playas Del Coco close to all the shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is a gem! It may not be too spacious, but it has a great pool. The rooms each have a great balcony with chairs, table, etc. They have so many things one usually doesn’t find in a place at this rate that I was continually amazed – washclothes, boogie boards, surfboards, umbrellas, etc. And a friendly and helpful vibe to boot! Loved it!,.

We had a wonderful stay at Toro Blanco from Jan. 2-17/26. From the moment we arrived everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The staff are amazing , the rooms and outdoor spaces are comfortable and clean and I can’t say enough about the included breakfast and 24 hour delicious Costa Rican coffee! The location of Toro Blanco is perfect as well…. 1/2 block from the beach and 1/2 block from the main drag with great restaurants/ shops. I would highly recommend this hidden gem!

We arrived 3 hours early, but our room was ready, so we were able to check in early. The room was such a treat, I loved the large balcony. My favourite thing was to lay in the hammock and read my book. The location is great, a couple of minutes to the beach (towels, beach mats, boogie boards provided) and it’s one block off the Main Street. Good breakfast, all day coffee and water, and lovely staff. What’s not to like!

Breakfast good, staff amazing I was only sad cuz the pool was out still and didn’t know it. They offered to buy me a pass across the way but it was raining. Later when it stopped I kinda wish I had a pool but the hospitality made up for the lack of it. On that note when the pool is back the place will be 5 stars for sure!

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and welcoming. They lent us umbrellas for us to use while we stayed there because of the weather conditions. They gave us information on the best places to eat and made us feel at home. While the hotel is not a luxury resort, I was pleasantly surprised how big the hotel room was. It had a separate kitchen and couch and the outside patio was very large with furniture and a hammock. Will definitely stay again if we make it back to Costa Rica.

The only downside was when I booked through Expedia, I paid a deposit. When I checked in, I was told I still owe the amount of the deposit and wanted to see my credit card statement to prove I paid it. I was too tired to argue but was very upset that I double paid the deposit. Although a bar is advertised, it is closed down. Good: friendly staff hotel is being renovated, getting a facelift it could use. Pool was very inviting. I would stay there again, but I would book through their personal website.

We enjoyed our stay at Toro Blanco. The hotel and surrounding areas were quiet at this time of year, as we lean into off season. The included breakfast is very limited as there is no restaurant on site. Kitchenette in room was a nice touch!
