Chose this hotel looking for a cheaper option to Downtown Phoenix as the prices were absurd. The hotel is a 20min drive from Phoenix. The casino and hotel is like most others, clean and secure. If you are looking for a cheaper option, it’s an option. Parking is complimentary also

What I did NOT like. Was marketed as Resort and Spa. Hot tub was green colored, spa was minimal with no information (brochures). We stayed 4 nights and were put in a room that was enclosed with no views of what resort advertised as great views. I requested a room change and was told by one receptionist to check back in the morning and they would accomodate this change. When I went the next morning, it was a diff. person who told me we would have to change rooms again after 2 nights. NOT customer service oriented. Was really just a hotel that did not have extra amenities and was EXPENSIVE for this. IBefore making reservations, I specifically asked about the pool and hot tub. Pool was too cold and as I mentioned the hot tub did not look like it was being maintained given the green color of the water so we did not get it. Additionally, room did not include microwave as I was told and the ice machine near our room did not work. Our main light fixture in the room blinked on and off before it would work and the toilet ran often before shutting off. Overall lack of maintenance. I would NOT recommend this place and I felt mislead by the resort and spa description - Vicky

The staff at PoCo Diablo were super accommodating and friendly. We were a high school group and they made our stay very pleasant by helping us with a few requests. The property was great!

I stayed here in Feb, hotel OVER CHARGED me 517.06 for my stay. While in the speaking with the manager and her giving me an attitude she could not tell me what the charges were for or give me a break down for my bill. 2 weeks AFTER I checked out, they charged my card 52.12 and said I used thier hotel restaurant I explained to them I lived in another state and it was not possible for me to be there. Had to fight with them both times to get my money back. They also charge if you request extra towels/blankets, most of the staff is rude!

Great stay, spacious rooms, noisy by the pool but it closes at a reasonable time so it was ok. Room needed some repairs; 1 plug did not work, one bed light did not work, one wall light did not work, screen door off rails, one bathroom switch was inconsistent/touchy. Beautiful grounds and great views from our balcony. The pool is heated annd enjoyable. Overall it was reasonable, clean, and spacious. Facilities a little dated and in need of repair. We enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.

Property is in beautiful area. Sidewalks could use repair and lighting could be better with multiple outdoor lights out. The room we stayed in was a little dated with small TV low ceiling and limited lighting. Beds were comfortable. There was an obvious hair on the floor of the bathroom when we arrived which indicates to me cleaning could use more attention.

Price gouging!

We stayed here because of a weather emergency. Price was almost $600 for our 2 queen room. Can you say price gouging in an emergency! It was one of the only rooms available within the area and for good reason. Badly in need of a renovation, room and towels smelled like mildew. There was a spider in the bathroom towels. Cabinets didn’t close properly. Everything was dinged up and some areas were clearly dirty. Staff never asked how the stay was. No elevators so luggage had to be hauled to the second floor on bumpy ramps. The location is stellar, but everything else left something to be desired.

Location great. Facility in need of upgrades which are planned for this year (2025). Great restaurant/bar and friendly staff. This is more of a hotel than a "resort". Yes, there are tennis courts, a pool, a "fitness center" on site. But the rooms are most definitely hotel-ish and the grounds (former pitch and putt golf course) are in rough shape. Overall, a good experience though and I give it a positive review.

The most embarrassing excuse for a resort that I’ve ever stayed. I’ve never seen such poor customer service and never been so disappointed in a stay. It takes so much for me to write a negative review but I was BLOWN AWAY by how terrible this place was. Where should I begin: 1) We booked last minute from a third party site because the interstate was closed and hotels were being booked by the minute and I had a 2 and 4 year old that needed a place to sleep. I called the hotel to confirm the booking and they said yes, we have your room ready. When I got to the hotel they said they would potentially have to move me to a single bed room because a DOG takes priority in getting the room they need. After expressing that I needed a room with 2 beds so both of my kids can sleep they waited to ensure the single person next to me who was checking in didn’t need the 2 beds first because she had a dog. Seriously?!? We prioritize dogs over children here? Also, I was informed that it was $60 more than the price that was quoted but a manager wasn’t available to speak so I paid it on site thinking I could call to discuss everything tomorrow. Little did I know managers won’t actually speak to you here. 2) This is a glorified motel 6. Do not let “resort” fool you. It’s old with little updates, and barely passes as clean with a layer of dust on all fixtures. The view from the hotel is beautiful but that is the only redeeming quality 3) I tried to call the manager this morning to discuss the qual

I feel the photos on the website are misleading. We booked a pet-friendly king. We were put in the oldest part of the hotel without the nice large windows in the pictures. The room had one small window looking out onto the walkway, like a Motel 6-style motel. They don't make up the rooms every day, but claim to replace towels and empty garbage, which didn't happen when we were there. The large lawn in the middle of the property is really nice and the restaurant is already renovated. We also used the spa and the staff there are amazing. Could recommend. The room was a disappointment, and we felt like second-class citizens by having our dog with us. It felt like we weren't welcome, which is fine, but don't advertise that you are dog-friendly. Would not stay there again.

Room was bigger than expected, comfy bed, nice shower. Beautiful property, nice and quiet with a balcony and wonderful views. Staff were very nice, even let us borrow a couple wine glasses which was very nice. Great location too, super easy in and out of town.
