Lovely overnight stay. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very nice. Old building tastefully decorated with a modern touch. Breakfast was also really good

Simple check in though we had to wait until the room was ready. To be fair we were early so no issue. Room was huge and comfortable, if the bathroom was looking a little tired. The room was cold and we couldn’t get any heat at all so resorted to asking reception for a plug in heater which they provided. Breakfast was plentiful, though service was lacking somewhat. We waited almost 30 minutes for a latte coffee even with 2 reminders to the waiting staff. Normally they charge £4 extra for what they deem as ‘speciality’ coffees which seems a bit steep on top of the £24 charge for breakfast. However, we weren’t charged as we waited so long.
