Great stay here. Great, accommodating staff. Stairs/common spaces are really decrepit and dirty, but the rooms inside are clean, and that's all that matters to me. Good hot water shower!

This property gets a 4* for its location. The bed is really hard, and the facilities are ok but nothing fancy. It is a decent 2* hotel. The best thing is its location. The MRT being within a 2 min walk is huge. Very nice location and great for a cheap hotel.

Good location and no frill stay

This is my 2nd time staying at Galaxy. I choose it because of good location- 2mins walk from ximen exit 1. The staffs are friendly and approachable. Bed sheets are smooth and comfortable. It is good for guests who do not spend much time in the room and spend time sightseeing. It is a comfy place for a good night sleep. Free flow of mineral water for guests and wifi too. I will be back for a 3rd time.

Near XiMenDing MRT

- Near XiMenDing MRT & XiMenDing night market, and the Red House - Has no elevator (only elevator for your baggage) - Thin wall and door - Room had mosquitoes and got bitten - Free bottles of water at the lobby - Body soap & shampoo, shaver, towels, some other necessities provided - Room had built-in plugs for UK 3 pin plugs - TV programmes were good

Mini room in mini galaxy

I am a solo traveller who stayed for 3 nights in a double bed room. Room is small so 1 person is just nice. Room comes with bathroom and toilet. No fridge, no kettle. Towels and basic toiletries available. i stay on high floor but they do have a mini lift for lugguges transfer only. Two lady staffs on duty (1 day and 1 night) are friendly. Btw i speak chinese. bottle water are free for use from the reception. Wifi is free and strong too. The rooms on ground floor, opp the reception counter is too close for comfort and noise disturbance. Get a higher floor. Cleanliness is my only complaint because it is not done properly. The previous stayer for my room, could be a lady as i could see many long hair in the bathroom and near the bed. Bed is hard type and is good for my back. Very easy to find once you exit from exit 1 of ximen station. 3mins slow walk. Turn your head to the left at exit 1and spot the mini galaxy neon light signboard. I will come back again if i am at taipei.

There is no elevator but there is a dumbwaiter lift for your bags. On the upside there is no fourth floor so if you’re on 5 or 6 (only one room on 6) you are spared a floor on your upward trek. My room was tiny - I mean tiny; but it was very clean. The stairs and hotel itself are a little (very) tired and unkept. The staff are pleasant and friendly and the price is pretty good.

Very Near to Ximen MRT Station!

The hotel is very near to Ximen MRT Station, like less than 5 minutes walking to the hotel from the Ximen MRT Station. The Staff is friendly and helpful The room is clean and comfortable, just that the bathroom is detached from bedroom, but it's still fine with me. Just that there's no elevator, but it's fine with me. Very good hotel and highly recommended!

Hotel is very near to Ximending station!

Hotel comes with a lift for baggage which is definitely a plus point compared to those without! Room is pretty small but the bed is comfortable!

Great Location but Disappointing Second Stay

This was my second time staying at the Galaxy Mini Inn. The first time I stayed here, I had a single room with a shared bathroom in the basement of the main building and it was great (I recommend asking for a room there if you stay at this hotel). The bathroom was shared, but private and the rooms were quiet. The location is perfect for staying in the Ximen area and it is less than a minute walk to exit 1 of the Ximen MRT station. For the price, it was a great deal! This time I stayed in a room in the other building (also conveniently located next to the main building). The room was in a hostel style private room setting on the 3rd floor (no elevator which might be an issue if you have a lot of luggage). The bathrooms and showers are dorm room style and the sink area is open in the main hall area. The rooms were very loud (you could hear everything in the bathroom/sink area and from the other rooms). The biggest issue that I had though is the phone calls from the front desk and door knocking from the staff in the morning. Checkout is at 12pm and at 10:30am, I woke up to a phone call from the front desk reminding me that checkout time was at 12pm.The staff knocked on my door at 10:45am, 11am, and again at 11:25am to see if I was gone. I felt pressured to leave the room and felt uncomfortable being there. The hotel might want to change their checkout time to 11am if they want guests to leave earlier.

Nice location

Hotel's location near to xi men ding street and mrt station. However, in terms of cleanliness and comfortness, it's worth 2 stars. Bed is hard. Water temperature is not stable, sometimes hot sometimes cold.

fuss free essentials only hotel near ximending

hotel is easy to find, <5 mins from ximending station exit 1. staff are nice and can understand English well. The room that I had was quite small and tall people might have a difficulty sleeping in the bed. room is clean enough and the sheets has some small stains but are washed clean. this hotel is not for picky guests but well worth the price for the convenience and the amenities provided.
