I reserved a basic room but it was spacious enough with a good sized bathroom and overall felt cozy. I liked that there is a lounge on the 2nd floor for guest to get some simple snacks, tea/coffee, or eat your takeout on the various tables (outside of the breakfast hours.) This hotel offers free washing and drying for your small loads of laundry (detergent available) but be sure to clean out the lint otherwise your laundry may never dry. The first room I checked into had a greasy smell that comes and goes. I wasn't sure if it was because I was located at the same level as the exhaust from nearby restaurants. After voicing the concern to the staff I was immediately transferred to a higher floor. I felt they are caring and value their guests. The 2nd room had a faint cigarette smoke smell that comes and goes. I didn't complain this time because I believe some guests are probably smoking in their shower and that smoke is picked up by the vent which somehow gets into my shower/room. I thought this is not the fault of the hotel itself but maybe they need to reinforce the non-smoking rule (if there is one.) The bed is divine! I wish I could take it home! I had the best sleep and looked forward to resting every night. This hotel is flanked by 2 convenience stores and steps from the Breeze center. It's a few minutes walk to buses and MRT as well so location wise it's hard to beat. This is a safe area with lots of foot traffic, yet it is quiet in the room.
