The Grand Hotel is an iconic landmark in Taipei. I was excited to get a really affordable price on one of the inner rooms. The room was clean and staff super friendly. The outdoor pool was really great! Expect US prices at the bar and coffee shop. Food was excellent. I am so glad I was able to stay there!

Overall is very good. But the minimum spending dining request is a little bit bothering me. For example going to the cafe if the order is under $300 then I have to order something else which I don’t really want to enable me to sitting in the cafe.

We had a great time at this property, the staff was very nice and accommodating. They even let us extend our check out time as we had a later flight. The food, the heritage it preserves and the history behind this hotel is simply fantastic. The only thing that i would have liked was if the hotel rooms were cleaner and rennovated. A massive, well-maintained property, with a lot of interesting history. The corner suite is absolutely immense, both inside and out, and the breakfast buffet was the largest and most extensive we had ever seen. The Olympic-sized pool is immense, but a bit of a challenge to get to from the main lobby and there are no attendants at it. That said, it did provide a welcome relief to the heat and humidity of Taipei in August. We missed the hotel shuttle from the pool back to the main lobby one morning and a very friendly staffer drove us in a golf cart so we could get back in time — representative of the always-friendly staff at this property. We seldom stay at properties this large, but certainly enjoyed our stay.

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but this time I absolutely had to. I've been a world traveler for years, and I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have ever experienced. The service here is truly top-tier. The staff goes above and beyond, and it's clear they take immense pride in their work. My room was meticulously cleaned and tidied every single day, and they made sure I always had a fresh supply of bottled water on hand. Plus, they offer a complimentary shuttle to the nearest subway stations, which is a game-changer for getting around. The best part?
