Elevator takes very long to wait when crowed. The higher level you stay, the longer you have to wait. And only one elevator will be assign to your floor even other elevators will pass your floor, they won't stop at your floor and pick you up, they will just pass. Room's humidity is very low. You feel very dry in the room.

The APA Hotel in Ryogoku is close to a several transit lines, yet also has some frequently visited areas within walking distance. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food options may be found at the hotel, but there are many options just outside as well.

It was a nice little spot off the beated path so not too much foot traffic, about a 5 min walk to access train system and had a 24/7 711 shop right near where you could get snacks and drinks whenever. Really nice area and had two police officers right down the road.

The main flaw of this APA hotel that will prevent me from ever returning are the elevators. The elevator logic is flawed, tacking on an extra 3-10 minutes every time you use them. The elevator button will select one out of three lifts to service 18 floors, not dynamically changing to other lifts when they become available. Even though there are 6 elevators available, I would avoid using the onsen or other facilities just due to the delays.

The room size is super small, we expected it to be bigger because it was a Resort. But other than that it was a good option. The free spa, and location next to a subway station made it good. The only thing is not many dining options around.

The check in is a little difficult as it is automated so you need to have all of your reservation numbers and then its usually not the right number and then I had to wait for assistance, not a great first impression when you arrive from a long flight. The hotel is very basic, no frills or spills but convienient for what we where there for.

Everything about this place was lovely except the gym. It was a bit stinky, dusty and dirty. No sanitizer around and both bikes were broken. Otherwise truly a great experience! Convenience shop and Onsen were amazing and the view room was totally worth the extra fee
