My review on this hotel might be rigged but I’ll try to be as objective as possible. The hotel staff is super nice, the check in and out was very easy, but for some reason we were booked for a smokers room. Which we’re not. This really tainted the stay for us. We room reeked of tobacco, which is understandable, but it made everything feel a little dirty. The shower walls were stained with nicotine, the bed smelled of tobacco… We also didn’t complain as we would only be staying for two nights, but the smell truly was unbearable. I checked the reservation and didn’t find a reason as to why we were located in that type of room, as we didn’t request it. All this to say, it is a good, cheap stay, just make sure to get a non-smokers room if you don’t smoke. I still wouldn’t rule it out, I just learned my lesson about smokers rooms!

Great location and walkable to lots of restaurants and stores. Staff was very helpful and used translators to communicate with us. Convenient locks to store luggage after check-out. All the amenities are displayed and available at the check-in area, as well as by the elevators in the building across the way (the one that we stayed at). Very happy that there was a hot water maker and a full tub (they had bath salts available... so relaxing before going to bed!). We upgraded to a bigger room because the basic room is very small. Great price for what you get. Would stay here again!

Hotel was chosen due to its proximity to the train station as I needed to catch an early train to the airport so for that it served its purpose. Breakfast options weren’t great but was able to use the voucher in the Lawson store downstairs which was super handy.

Great Hotel!

I thought this was an amazing place to stay during my trip. The staff was very friendly and everything you needed was walking distance.

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Shimbashi is located within walking distance of the Dai Ichi Hotel which the airport limousine stops at, making it extremely convenient to get there from Narita Airport. Furthermore, it is located within walking distance of many good choices for food, such as MacDonald's, Ichiran and more. There is a family mart located conveniently on the first floor. It is walking distance from the Shimbashi station which is on the Yamanote Line, making it easy to get to places like Akihabara and Shibuya. Most importantly, the staff are extremely friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand, especially Miss S. Taniguchi. Despite the language barrier, she was extremely cheerful and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us. My family and I are truly grateful to her and the reception staff for making our trip such a pleasant one. Would definitely book this hotel again in the future.

Quiet convenience in Tokyo

The hotel is located in a very convenient area, with two restaurants and a Family Mart in the same building. It can be reached from Haneda airport without changing trains and is located very close to Shimbashi station, with access to a number of rail lines. The rooms were very clean if quite small by American standards. The staff was friendly and helped us arrange shipping our luggage to the next location. We would definitely stay here again.

All the staff were exceptionally helpful and so professional. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Tokyo. It was such a nice walking district to everything (food, restaurants, shopping, train, etc) A very pleasant stay, made so much nicer by all the wonderful staff.

Stayed here for three nights in the Queen size room. The bed was comfortable and can easily fit two people comfortably. The overall room size is tight so if you have suitcases larger than a carryon, it can be difficult to manoeuvre. Highly recommend packing cubes so you don’t have to open your suitcase frequently. Nice size mirrors to help get ready. The location is super close to subway station which makes travelling the city convenient.

The staff were all absolutely wonderful!!! So helpful with all of our questions. The lower-level rooms may be a tad noisy due to train, but the train stops around 1AM. Higher level (we stayed on Floor 13) was quieter. They can keep your luggage after check-out. There's 24hr Family Mart inside the same building, very convenient!

This is my first trip to Japan and I was a little nervous. The staff was so helpful and kind. They were so patient with my limited Japanese. I will definitely be staying here again if I am back in the area.
